Meant to be going to a couples house party and the female of the couple cannot attend. Not sure how I (Mr) feel about it, we wouldn't attend a single guys house party but we have met this couple before, but feel that single guys change the feel to a party, there are other couples attending but no other single guys, are we wrong to give the party a miss this time?

Hi OP

If it doesn't feel right for you ,you are doing the right thing not going I'd say

If you haven't met them before I would say that was quite "convenient" that the wife couldn't attend.

So if they are hosting the party and now the wife has other commitments they probably didn't want to let people down by cancelling.

If you don't feel like it will be right then don't go I don't really know what else I can suggest.

this

Only you can answer whether you're comfortable or not ... if you don't go and they get funny about you not going ... then that's their problem

If it doesn’t feel right then it’s probably not, go with your instinct x

If we hadn't met them before it would be a no brainer, but because we have it makes it difficult, we always trust our gut and it hasn't steered us wrong but our gut doesn't know wtf to do

Only you can decide what you're comfortable with.

Why miss the party? Just tell him that lone male isn't the dynamic you're there for.

hiding from cock pics.

I would discuss how you feel with them, but if you are not comfortable then I would suggest waiting until the lady can attend. They should understand, obviously they have changed the dynamic of the party.

Your gut said in the first post 'are we wrong to give it a miss' that seems like your instincts are nudging you that way.

Whenever we have questioned our instincts it hasn't worked out.

Also if 'they' are arranging a party it seems strange one can T make it especially she it's the female. Age old trick that one...
