I suspect a similar piece of work showing men's appendages would rather resemble a distorted view of a hedgehog, and be nowhere near as attractive.

There is such a collection, done by a lady that goes by the name cynthia plaster caster. She has "done" many, many famous people and was the inspiration for the song plaster caster by kiss. I've not studied the models made but I imagine they will vary greatly and someone somewhere thought each individual subject was fab. Just as testarossa and exquisite deviance may have differences in appearances, I'm sure they are both equally delightful.
