I make up a packet of oh so simple with semi skimmed milk and have fruit on it either strawberries, blueberries or banana

Do you put in little salt ? or not ... some do i know people say its bad when on diets.. A bowle of this fills not up for hours x

i dont, but i dont use sugar either, never tried salt just sounds a bit

Years ago used to put a pinch of salt in it but not now. Just have it as it comes and the fruit sweetens it up enough

i dont, but i dont use sugar either, never tried salt just sounds a bit "

my mum makes her s with pinch of salt mix to half water and milk and suger or jam i like bannas and nuts 0n top or just like low cal suger.

Got some of the new Alpen instant stuff with fruit and nuts in , its yummy. Daft as it sounds I only like the instant microwave stuff as got put off real thing when working in care homes always looked like glue to me yuk .

I love oats but hate them as porridge so just add mine to yoghurt, leave them overnight for the best taste, with fruit bloomin delicious

I make mine with skimmed milk then add a spoon of golden syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon, delicious!

In fact I may have some for supper tonight!

its the addition of salt that makes it Scottish - all part of that health diet

and its convenient too in the microwave - easy to clean the dish - once you have tried to clean an old porridge pot you use the microwave

real oats done in milk with salt, anything else is SOOOOOOOO wrong - sorry but am Scottish & where I come from that is the only way , but hey if somone asked for them any other way they would have to cook their own

On a cold morning, it's half milk to water, pinch of salt, teaspoon of brown sugar, cooked in a pan not a microwave and a dram of whisky poured over before serving.
