Ok I’ve seen in a forum someone who is a bit older than me using text talk and speaking like a chav so I’m curious how many people speak like that. For reference I don’t I can’t speak like a chav as it feels wrong after being taught the proper queens English but I do use the odd bit of text talk.

I’m always curious about the acronyms used, is there some sort of glossary available or perhaps a yoof can explain

Can't stand it. You're not using a Nokia 3210, you've got a full keyboard, autocorrect and predictive text.

Somewhere near here

It would take me twice as long to write or to read because I’m trying to work out what I need to write or what is being said. I find it very off putting, there’s no need for it today

Especially with what part of text speak is right and if it’s in the right context

Bloody hate it, when I read posts in the schools Facebook groups from parents (mainly mothers) and it’s full of ‘n’ instead of and, it grinds my gears! I can hardly read them in one go, I do fear for their children!!

I don’t mind the odd ‘smh’ etc sometimes but instead of saying with they say ‘wit’ it’s one extra fucking letter!! And the phone probably has the right spelling starting at you in the face!!!!
