Politics, I'm very ignorant of it all.

I think I should take more interest but then also think, every politician is not out to represent the voters who put them there .... but out for themselves.

"languages and the Koran"

but yer in a foreign place? France, what no French, you need a French bit like me Dad had.

For the Koran, Ikara, sums it up. Roughly interpreted the work means, both read and study.

Good luck. I tried that with Arabic but it was soul destroying, much more fun to learn it with other people.

Probably world politics/history, why certain countries are always at each others throats, who's got what? and who wants it?

I always feel kinda ashamed at not knowing this stuff, but I find it so depressing when I find stuff out that I give up again fairly quickly.

I do enjoy reading the political threads on here though - most of it goes over my head tbh, but some of it is really interesting and enlightening.

Oh my where to start!

Wish i knew more psychology, it would help with mu course.

Birds, i want to be able to identify them by song...i keep meaning to hunt out a cd

Mushrooms...anyone wanting to make me really happy can book me up for a course in edible wild mushrooms, we are surrounded by them. i wouldnt pick them based on a book though, i would worry to much

The internet, everything from what how search engines work to what this incognito window thingie means.

And around 1000 other things

"languages and the Koran"

Would like to speak one (apart from English!), but have no 'natural' ability at all, & find it difficult. Have a high IQ, but can't do languages.

Very informed about the wars etc. Find it annoying how little some, especially the young, know about them. My ex- didn't even know the WW2 start & end dates, which I found unbelievable!

Thats quite true, I suppose, and English is reckoned to be a lot harder than most languages! The problem is that I seem to approach them like a mathematical equation, but, with infinite 'answers', so it seems very daunting.

That's all you need to know really. If you spouted that out for the next 100+ years you'd always be right.

Luckily, I know everything and I'm always right so this thread doesn't apply to me.
