It's straight forward. I'd forgotten about retaining my number. Does it get changed on transferring to a new provider?"

"I've been on the same O2 business tariff since the iphone was invented. It's been tweaked and massaged regularly and I currently pay 38 quid for unlimited texts and calls and 3GB of data. They called me today and offered to lock me in for another two years at 6GB for 28 quid. I've been lax in actually doing the research about whats available on the market so I've no idea if this is a cracking deal or not. Could anyone point me in the right direction to a good site that offers impartial advice? Would anyone like to offer their own? I've got 11 months left of my current tariff so I'll have to wait anyway but I need some help to find out if I'm being taken for a mug." It breaks down approximately to £10-12 for the sim and tariff and anything on top of that you are basically paying for any new phone you get. At £38 you are paying £312 per year for how ever long your contract is for a new phone At £28 its £384 over 2 years to pay for what ever phone you get. So really down to you on if you want a phone via your contract or not.

I'm not bothered about getting a new phone, mine is in full working order so I don't need a new one.

"Thanks all, lots for me to consider and it’s obvious a SIM only contract from somewhere else is way cheaper than my current provider." Drop me message I can suggest best plans.

If not there are some good sim only deals around. I am on sim only with EE and have unlimited calls and texts with 20gb data for £18 a month
