Sex goes down the list when ...

... I am pre-occupied by other activities, such as holiday planning, holidaying, learning a new skill, improving an existing skill, having goals to achieve, etc. etc. etc...

Sieving the mud to find a potential gem to meet seems like too much effort, and I would rather spend my weekends to refresh and charge up the batteries for the week ahead.

Hence I am in the "cannot be arsed" phase, so much so that I have not perved at vids for weeks (pics yes, vids no)!

Am I bothered? Not really, as sex has never been high on my list of things that make me happy and content.

Anyone else going through such a phase?

To us swinging falls into the category of luxury activity - like other things we love doing, we may plan around them so we can do it, but ultimately like all luxuries it has to take second place to real life.

The trick we find is in recognising that sometimes even when you have lots going on and you're really stressed - a little of what you like does you good.

It's easy to get bogged down sometimes.

We had the last min opporunity to go out on Friday - we practically forced ourselves to go to a club instead of having a early night without kids. So glad we did - was just what the doctor ordered.

When I am stressed, I would eat, either to buy something in, or to cook something really nice for myself.

Another way to de-stress is to sing on top of my voice to "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen while driving my car.

Both works everytime without fail, and involves minimal efforts.

serious issues only for me... in fact the more stressed I am, I need sex even more..

I get times when I get no choice.. but it isnt because I dont want to...

Its always high on my priorities... only thing that comes above it is my kids and my relationship.

Sex will go down the list when something else fun and enjoyable comes along which I have less opportunity to do.

Recreational sex is important to me as it is part of who I am, but it's not important that I am always doing it.

In addition, there have been times where catching up on housework, doing the washing and sorting out the garden have been more of a priority than having a shag.... it's about what will make you feel better in the long run.

we are always in that mood, sure. lol

as long as we can have sex wit each other when we are together, we dont really care whether there are others involved or not.

the planning does get somewhat tiresome, but, when it goes right, its fantastic, and in the last 2 days we have met 2 couples that have really floated our boat, so to speak, and hope to become long term friends with them, but who knows.

my life has been hetic and me returning to work from sickness has been hell, changes to policies and the way we do things and then the home stuff the hobby

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Every month, the week before a certain event, I go right off sex and get almost impatient with some of the messages I get on here. The week after a certain event however I'm much more accommodating.

I am also sorting holidays out at the mo and having lots of fun picking where to go. Sometimes its good to concentrate on the rest of our lives to recharge the old batteries.
