No one can truly understand another's pain because we've all lead different life's and experiences some may be similar or similar episodes but it's the whole cumulative that builds up to the point...all we can do be is be there for others and help how ever we can...

I hope you feel better.

Please consider reaching out for help, it does exist.

In the meantime, do things that make you feel secure and either bring happiness or at least calm.

Sending massive hugs, it would have been my dads birthday next week; so I know a little of it. Feel free to PM me if you like, but also look at positive ways to help yourself, maybe reach out to MIND who may be able to find you someone to talk to who is qualified to help xx

Is there anywhere you can go that makes you feel close to him, somewhere you used to go together, go there for a bit, alone preferably, or with someone who knew him well, might make you feel closer to him for a bit. There's no shame in taking time for yourself to grieve someone you miss.

When I feel like that I wrap up warm or have a bath. Feels a bit like a hug. Do something to escape for a bit like read or nap.

If you're struggling to cope, consider the Samaritans.

The pain never goes away but in time you get more used to dealing with it.

Remember there have been good times and there will be again

Sending hugs big hugs, it’s a horrible feeling but just know you can reach out and talk to people, it’s perfectly fine to feel how you do, just know your father will be with you at all times, I’m happy to talk anytime you need

Tell that to someone with arthritis whose pain never goes away.

I can understand how you feel. I miss my dad terribly and lost my mum in February. I'm forever the strong person for everyone else but right now very far from it. Hope you feel better soon. Be kind to yourself

People leave their marks on us. You might have his smile or his laugh. You might see him in your son. He's taught you things that serve you well. He's done things that you'll always remember and make you smile.

Those things may hurt to think about at the moment, but they'll become bittersweet, and eventually return to bringing you joy.

He's still with you in what he's left you with.

It won’t, and that’s a horrible thing to deal with. But there’s always a flip side - you were fortunate to know such a good person which is worth remembering.

It’s difficult to deal with, but what you’re going to is part of the healing process

For the grieving part of the pain, you need distraction, over 20 years since my first wife died I mostly have it under control, but it still gets me from time to time. Only option is to get busy, preferably phisical e.g. go for a walk, focus on the good memories, and avoid the what if trap.

For the argument, make tonight special either put it behind you or resolve it rationally.

For the pain, I have no cure, tears work if you are in a place where they can flow without needing to be explained. But only if you can stop them with good memories.

Go get control, it's your life, make it as good as can be.
