Well said. This decision is also affecting the career of his sister.

I'm not comfortable listening to an unsolicited Michael Jackson song. To anyone that has been abused an unsolicited Michael Jackson song could be triggering. If anyone wants to listen to a Michael Jackson CD, or stream, they can do.

What is an ‘unsolicited ‘ song

Something you receive without asking for it. Unsolicited dick pics for example.

Listening to a song you didn't choose to listen to.

Don’t think they should be banned on radios. It’s a choice to listen to the radio and you don’t control what songs are played.

Don’t think it makes much difference tbh as he has no new material so only oldie stations would really play his stuff or the odd time on main stream radio for nostalgia

How often did we hear his music on the radio before this? I have the radio on permanently, all different stations. I can't remember the last time I heard any of his songs broadcast on the radio anyway

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

If you make value judgements about musicians, you'll have nothing to listen to.

Still banning his songs this way is a shame for the history of music.

A radio station choosing not to play his shit is not banning it - it's just an editorial decision that, when all's said and done, MJ recorded some pretty average corporate soul and r&b that shifted loads of units but wasn't actually that interesting. Compared to, say, Prince it's easy to argue that MJ was just a corporate brand rather than an artist

Just how many other bands artists singers actors etc are we going to ban for whatever actions they have allegedly carried out.

If he and others were banned does anyone think it would change in any way the actions of others who may prey on the vulnerable?

I agree, I love his music. I idolised him and listen to him often on playlists. There's no way we can deprive us and future generations of the music and dance that changed the industry forever and inspires the world.

Looks like we will have to attend more parties to get our Billie Jean on the rare it’s going. Absolutely sad times, hopefully a radio station will stand up and play his music again, I mean Harvey Weinstein films are still be shown? And there is ‘evidence’ of that abuse! Not these blokes out to make a quick buck or four.

So accusations can't be made against wealthy people? Because people would only accuse wealthy people for the money.

When I saw an article on Michael Jackson's music being pulled from radio stations, this is what I put in the comments.

"I find removing MJ's music from radio stations stupid to be honest.

I've not seen the documentary nor do I intend to as I choose to not get involved in this insane debate on a scandal that may or may not have happened over 20 years ago.

I'll always remember MJ for his music and not for what may or may not have happened in his personal life.

Let me ask you a question. Does listening to MJ's music glorify what may or may not have happened over 20 years ago? No, of course not.

I've always enjoyed his music and will continue to do so."

At the moment nobody wants to be associated with him and that may well be the case going forward untill...

The media are very fickle and they will change their opinions at the drop of a hat depending on the public consensus.
