Put 25% of the stuff in the mix and cook for a tad less time ?

I dunno, I'm a bloke. I just multiplied the ingredients by a factor of 4 to make twice as many, but double the thickness cheese scones than the original recipe told me, so I assume it works the same in reverse

Lol will have to try that just wondered if it would come out as good love cooking but not a confident cook.

Follow the recipe and make full quantity, then eat what you can, and freeze the rest, portioned, in air tight tubs?

That's what I do, as it is too much effort to make just one portion at a time.

Well let's be fair, other than something turning out not as good as expected, what can go wrong ?

Sometimes experiments work, sometimes they don't , but my cheese scones come out as big as top hats and tasted leeeeeervely.

Mind you I followed the Xmas cake recipe to the letter - too expensive and too important top screw that one up even though I hate the bloody things
