Are some men intimidated by independent women , who are successful in business and financially independent? I’ve come me across this recently and have been surprised. I didn’t realise it was a turn off .

I swear this exact thread came up last week?

And no men dont feel like that, but women with bad personality traits do love to use it as a feel good excuse for men not wanting them so whatever floats your boat

You’re right, many men struggle with strong, independent women who know what they want & go for it. Being an equal can behard at times!

There's no burden of having to look after them or worry about them though.

In a longer term relationship, probably yes, for some guys I would say...

But it would nt really matter if it was just a bit of fun as long as she was willing to contribute towards hotel costs

When I was much younger I found that some men were drawn to strong, independent women and some weren't. I found my friends who were little girl lost types around men attracted a certain type of guy and my friends who weren't a different type.

Nowadays I have no idea.

Some are. Some aren't. Personally I dont measure people by their wealth or position or social status.

I either connect with them or dont depending on who they are not what they are....

They seem so disappointed when I say I don't need looked after lol.

Yeah I've come across it. Good thing that their turn off turns me off! I prefer more robust egos who can feel manly ever after kneeling at my feet.

I think some aren't able to handle a strong woman. Independence and being a bit fiesty can be a little too much for some

It's definitely a certain type of man that's intimidated, for sure.

There's only one kind of person I'm intimidated by.. someone who knows my mind better than I do. I find that a bit intimidating, but more a reflection on me than them.

Not at all. I find independence an attractive trait especially when it develops into a recognition of mutual interdependence and connectedness.

No woman or man is an island

No-one can know your mind better than you do.

If someone is helping you to understand yourself, that's cool. If they are doing it in a way that makes you feel uneasy, that's manipulation and to be avoided.

I'm not intimidated by that type of woman, no.

Neither does it turn me off. I don't connect the two in any way.
