Everyone should look up the Lisbon treaty..it comes into affect in Europe in 2020..it means any national that is in Europe agrees to give up everything to Europe to become one ..United States ofeEurope. ...check it out for yourselves. ..no capital. .no currency. .no more Britain. .or France. .or Italy. .all become u.s.e.

Lisbon treaty. ..read it..

Perhaps you should read it, rather than the scare stories against it. the treaty has been in operation since 2009, it is due to be replaced in 2020.

Apart from anything else we happen to be in the process of leaving the EU anyway so the 2020 Strategy will not have any significant impact on the Haribo exchange rate

Oh really, I thought this was scheduled for 2022; the melting down of all countries into one EU superstate, in which they are to function more like 'departments'. Also, Frau Engel announced plans for an EU army which would be in no way totalitarian. I can't remember if it was actually stated this army would be used to deal with riots i.e. any dissenters!

Having seen this coming for over a decade, I currently feel too tired and am somewhat resigned.

When the time comes for us all to be microchipped to be able to buy or sell, for our own safety, a lot of people will accept it without question, following suit with all the other 'normal' cool people.

Interesting times ahead.

While i voted to remain in the EU. We now need to leave regardless of whatever deal is reached.

How can we say we are democratic and preach to other countries about democracy if we have another vote on leave or stay.

"Absolutely nothing and it will be nice to see more British food on the shelves once we leave "

That's not how it works. UK does not make enough food for itself but exports a lot to Ireland. Ireland makes 7 times the food it needs but imports a lot from the UK.

The reason for this is really simple. Ireland sells its food abroad and buys in UK brands that they like.

In a no deal scenario Ireland stops buying british brands, moves its UK food exports to Japan, and buys in the same products but with different branding from the EU. In essence they go to Aldi/Lidl instead of tesco. They don't miss a step.

So the UK factories will try to downsize, a lot of them have said they are already close to going bust, there is not enough farmed food so you have to let in bleached chicken from America, the small farmers like in NZ start to commit suicde, their land is bought up by mega farmers as its the only way to make money now, and the shelves are full of American/Asian made food.
