Talking to boobs?

Jump to newest

I’ve had two instances in work in the last week where male colleagues have talked to my boobs rather than my face. I often think, do I say something, do they even realise they’ve done it?

I don’t recall chatting to a mans crotch or a female colleagues boobs ever.

What’s it about ?

Lol. A guy used to do this to me on holiday once, we used to laugh and say he wouldn't recognise my face.

I don't like it. In a professional situation I hate it. Could you kind of angle your head to look at his face so he becomes aware that you're aware iyswim or just laugh and say "my face is up here"

I think you should mention it to them next time you see them that you weren't comfortable with them looking at your boobs during your conversations and hopefully they wont don't it again in future.

How much were they on show? That makes a huge difference in the difficulties of focusing.

It is rare that my gaze will ever wander from a woman's face when locked in conversation, unless said situation offers the opportunity to do so.

It does become increasingly more difficult based on visibility of said boobs though.

Some guys just like "shiney" things and their focus is easily swayed.

I do the sneaky furtive crotch glance. Would never dream of objectifying a man by staring at his bulge when I'm talking to him.

I also notice boobs as well. Again, it's about the stealth perv. I don't think men realise how obvious they are. I spent most of a meeting with one of my team checking they were still there for me.

"Do women want men to look at their boobs? "

Therein lies the problem. I am fully aware that if I have a low cut top on men will look if I minded I wouldn't dress like that. If I cover up I don't like it. How are men supposed to know who likes it and when? I think if they assume that most women like to be spoken to face to face guys can't go far wrong.

For me, I'd rather it not happen except in an explicitly sexual context or one that might become one. Like, even a Fab social, keep it to stealth glances (which aren't that sneaky tbh).

Just because some women don't always cover their breasts doesn't mean that all women are like this (and I'd love to know when you've seen me at work like this!). It also doesn't mean that it's acceptable to stare at breasts at work. I manage to ignore both breasts and bulging groins at work just fine. It's called being a respectful adult and controlling myself.

I've been stared at like a piece of meat when I had B cups in a baggy top that went to my wrists and throat. It's about inappropriate entitlement, not the breasts.

Women have breasts. We can't make them go away in the office. But, a bit like toilet activities, we can pretend not to notice them because it isn't the time or place.

And women don't appreciate it when it's not appropriate.

I pass time by imagining things. Sometimes these include tits I've seen. But I don't inflict my desire on someone (particularly at work, it is inflicting).

Haha it’s hard not to with those things cyclists wear

Incidentally, I don’t suppose you have a pic of you in said Lycra shorts? Asking for my mate Sue. "

Tell your mate Sue, there’s two on my profile, if she wants a better look she will have to wait till I’m lost again and in her vacinity.

"I’ve had two instances in work in the last week where male colleagues have talked to my boobs rather than my face. I often think, do I say something, do they even realise they’ve done it?

I don’t recall chatting to a mans crotch or a female colleagues boobs ever.

What’s it about ?

It happens with women, I was out on my bike, (wearing Lycra) I stopped and asked directions and the woman looked I my crotch, not subtle either, if was pretty obvious.

So it’s not just a male thing.

Haha it’s hard not to with those things cyclists wear

Yeah my mate Jeff wants a pic as well

Yeah yeah. We all know you have a bit of an obsession with Tame’s big willy "

It's scary

"At the end of the day men will stare at tits, passed a bit of time though

And women don't appreciate it when it's not appropriate.

I pass time by imagining things. Sometimes these include tits I've seen. But I don't inflict my desire on someone (particularly at work, it is inflicting). "

I meant the thread passed a bit of time

I always do the two fingers into their field of vision and direct them up to my eyes saying "Up here dude, eyes please."

Works beautifully.

"Rather annoying when a woman has a very very low cut top at work, and then turns around to complain about men staring at them...cover them up and dress more professionally its my advice

Or the guys could be asked to stop staring and act more professionally..."

Or women dress more professionally when at work.

Segregation is safest way it seems. One could argue she's objectifying herself if dressed in appropriately too.

I'm very aware of when my eyes start to wander southwards. I'm not saying I don't look, but I do make a conscious effort to look women in the face. Being tall doesn't help, you're having to look down to start with.

Or we could go for some personal responsibility? If you're at work, don't look at people inappropriately. If they're dressed inappropriately, speak to them or whoever it's appropriate to speak to.

They notice. Most of them don't mind you looking as long as you're not staring.

Height may come into play during conversation as it's not always comfortable to be constantly looking up while talking (try it) but yes, people should behave in a right time right place manner.

I do. I interact with the very tall through to the wheelchair bound, and I manage to look at their faces.

How do you ladies feel if a guy looks at you as you walk past him at work? Is that also seen as in appropriately taking advantage as you're looking the other way?
