Play it cool.

Chasing sounds deperate. The good one's are patient and will wait to see how desperate you sound.

Delete your sent items and let the stars align themselves.

Wait for a reply.

Is it an initial message or during a conversation?

Depends...... if I’ve replied and someone then chases that’s ok. But if I don’t reply and get constant messages it just a out off

It’s a fine line. You need to be interested but not look desperate. You need to be keen but not stalker like. You need to make ladies feel special in one way or another but not come across as sleazy and cheesy it’s easy really.

As Babs said it's a fine line.

If I've been having a conversation with someone or chatting to them over time sometimes it's very easy for me to miss their message, or read it get distracted and forget to reply so I follow up message is not a problem.

When I've made it clear I am not interested and somebody continues to message that's when I block.

I think it’s fine to send a second message especially if you’ve already had a conversation. I’ve often lost messages I would have replied to amongst all the ridiculous ones.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

If you haven't had an initial reply sending the same message again could be counter-productive.

Already chatting, then send another one.

No conversations then no chase, looks desperate imo.
