been a while since my last.

I've actually downgraded to a canon 550D...

its my first canon camera, despite the limitations, I really like whats called a 'colour' profile, Ive been nikon for a decade, fuji a short time(I hate its greens i.e landscapes))

I'm now looking to upgrade my new but old canon, with the available lenses I have.

ISO, is a big issue for me, and this 550d...struggles..grrrrrr

*anyway..

I love lots of peoples pics, whether its phone or camera...some of you should actually sell yersels as hot fuck glamour in my book lol

I have seen the extreme macro the T series has too...very impressive for a small sensor

I use an old Nikon D5200. My friend used to do photography, and it was his. He passed away so I can’t bring myself to upgrade it. Sounds daft, but love taking pics, especially mx, using the camera he used to use in his early days.

It’s not a bad camera though, had images published using it, so it’s doing ok for me xx

i dunno its type, but sounds like a small sensor type?...if interested in photography why not check real cameras lol9noted some of the best cameras are on smart phones now, I'm dying to have a huwaie p20), but at the end of the day, smartphones cannot compete with actual cameras(i sound like a snob lol...but I can blur backrounds in photoshop from any image, making it look 'professionlerer..but it'll still be shit)

Wow published, nice one, sometimes the basics of the old, especially nikon are the best.. But then thats my opinion cos I struggle using idiotproof phone.. Besides maybe you carry a lil of your friend with you

but really nice...its a mid entry level dslr...if you really want full advantage(ex nikon d5500 user), edit in RAW...you will see the benefits

Don t ask me what type but mate took down a mine his £1000 phone and the pics were fab but he did find finger keyboard a pain cos he wears gloves underground.. Someone recommended Olympus tough for me

I felt like photos taken on p20 pro and mate pro are way better than standard startup cameras... never gonna compete with prof cameras but certainly worth more than 400-600€ cameras i feel..

Thank you. Only shoot in raw so editing much better. Have lots of photographer friends who give me advice and help when shooting xx

Old canon myself as far as dlsr (650). With any camera is surprising what you can bring to life with a little Photoshop with only colour manipulation. you can get great shot from a mobile and it's always to hand. Totally agree there are some amazing potential models here.

Perhaps it's the photographer in me but a lot of pics on here I just think "reeeaaallly you are so much better than that"

I've got a canon eos 1200d, and am just getting to grips with all it can do. Lots of potential! It's going to take me twice as long to learn how to use Photoshop/Lightroom properly...

To my the uploading doesn't matter. Most people view on mobiles or laptops. Unless you have a colour calibrated monitor your never going to get the true picture if you'll excuse the pun. Colour make a picture to me. The detail is just the background.

it is all about the lenses...best camera and a shit len...is shit

shite camera with best lens: you need to know how to use it

*old lenses are amazing, some rival modern and at a MASSSOOOVE fraction of a price, you have amazing image quality.

Its a shame because in my opinion after owning fuji xt20(loved), its colours aren't quite the want...the greens are terrible...

I wished I ha learned about photography in school...

though I was at the emergence of digital stuff.

I'm no way even remotely professional but handling a RAW file , is an image win....just having an image editor is amazing.I have a fe griped on autofucous etc...I wont py a few hundred pounds for a macro lens than a cheaper manual one..

I am a wedding photographer. Sometimes boudoir and portrait ect.

I use two canon 5d mk4s. And have 2 70d's as back ups.

You cant beat the mk4 for Iso. I can hit 6400 without any noticable noise. Stick the sigma 35mm f1.4 and pitch black is barely an issue.

Landscape & Motorsport are my passions - bought a Nikon D3300 a few years back and my love for photography has snowballed year on year from there. Ive very much outgrown it as I feel the camera is sometimes a limiting factor for me and massively regret not stumping up the extra few hundred for a 5300. Persevering while i keep investing in glass then ill either make the jump to full frame or bottle it and buy a 7300!

I've used a Nikon D3300 for the past couple of years and I've still yet to fully master it. I'm really enjoying the whole learning process though. Taking pics can be fun and it's amazing what you can achieve and quite a buzz when you take something half decent. I just wish I had more to time to spend doing it.

Bought a 300mm sigma lens a couple of weeks ago.

The weather lately means I haven’t used it, managed to get some pretty decent shots of the moon tonight.

It’ll make me better with my camera as it only works in manual mode, so no auto focus or settings on aperture mode etc.

Want to get out and try some wildlife shots when the weather clears up

I have a Cannon 450D and 750D, I have shot weddings, modelling shoots etc on both. I haven’t really done much lately so I should get out and do some more.I am a bit of a photoshop geek as well, I will happily spend hours tweeting a photo.

The problem I have is what to do with them once they are done? There is only so much wall space for hanging photos so I have terrabits of harddrives filled with old photos!

I was the same when I bought my camera, i went for a Nikon 3400, it’s now been replaced with the Nikon 3500 so you could probably find a 3400 well under your budget.

If you want a few examples of the quality of images you can except from the 3400 then feel free to message me and I’ll attach a few examples of landscapes, wildlife etc.

most people who take it seriously go through this mate started with an old D40 traded for a D70 now shoot with a D7200 also built a good selection of lenses and kit as i have gone along next step is to go full frame and that is quite a big one for now gona stick with the D7200 and hone my skills

I've worked with a lot of photographers and seen lots of cameras.

My husband does photography and has shot a few models

There is a definite increase in quality of photos with a increase in camera equipment but that would more likely to be due to the keener photographers spend more.

Google the term "guy with camera" it's a phrase models and photographers use. I have worked with some and you can tell all they want to do is see your pussy.

lily gets hoards of them wanting to shoot with her we soon learned how to filter them out mind you we know of a few bigname photographers who can be just as creept and lechorous seen and heard of some horrendous behavior towards models from some of them

So this is very personal to me but its too basic on two fronts. For Landscape photography I do a lot of Long Exposures (90seconds and beyond) Focus Stacking and Exposure blending and the lack of in camera bracketing can at times be very frustrating. I find the lack of a useful histogram really annoying too. i also dind the view finder isnt that great compared to other cameras ive used.

For motorsport the camera is just too slow when shooting in continuous mode and even slower at actually recording those shots to the memory card. Couple this with a lack of in body stabilisation and it can make for some very frustrating afternoons at race tracks.

im not saying its bad camera, but my plan is to switch to a 72/7300 asap then once im happy with the lenses i have ill probably switch to a Full Frame once funds allow it.

im not saying its bad camera, but my plan is to switch to a 72/7300 asap then once im happy with the lenses i have ill probably switch to a Full Frame once funds allow it."

60d, 50mm, 24-70 and 70-200 lenses. Fancy a new lens, but no real need.

I've loved the responses so far,

I know this isnt a porn channel, I know some people actually even like photography as a hobby(like me that likes bugs n landscapes etc).

Surely fab can make a new forum?, I'd say its more interesting than a politics forum

I agree mostly. Though I do think having these high end cameras, super hot eye focus etc, might be killing actual skill. I can hand hold a lot of macros that others cant, on another camera I could take 100fps to try making sure i get the focus at at least a few images.

dynamic range is one thing I do love about modern digital photography, but I do forget sometimes what appears on my screen is not what another sees(especially in a print), pixel peeping might not be a great avenue to consider photography.Some of the greatest pics known to man never needed such finite observation.

Agreed - i pride myself on being able to get what I consider to be pretty results from on pretty bog standard equipment.
