"I've eaten bison and crocodile before so I think I'd give the others a whirl." I've eaten bison but not the others. I think I'd struggle with alpaca for no other reason than I'm not used to thinking of them in terms of food. I could never eat python for reasons I can't articulate also the menu said because they're constrictors the meat is tough.

"Is a little sampler plate with a bit of each an option? " It didn't give that option. Maybe four people should go and each order one so they could all share

"I have tried many different meats on my travels. I own a butcher's shop and always look for something that little bit different while travelling abroad.. South East Asia have some very interesting food .. I'm going to Japan in 5 weeks so can't wait to sample the delicacies and delights." That's interesting. Japanese food is an acquired taste in my opinion .

"I wouldn't eat the python for the simple fact I hate tough meat, it makes me gag. Id give the others a go though. Preferably someone else would order them so I can just try a wee bit. " I think that's the answer

"Crocodile tail. Dependant on how it was served. Also dependant on where it came from." I think this was served like steak with a sauce. It's a safe bet to say that it came from a crocodile . Seriously though I think croc is farmed

"I stick to the more popular choices red meat, chicken, Fish etc ... Not one for the aquired taste but then there is always time to change ... "There's a restaurant in a nearby town which has bison, crocodile tail, alpaca and python on the menu. Which of these, if any, would you order? Vegetarians and vegans obviously wouldn't order any of them but if you're not either what would be your reason to either order or not? " I wouldn't order any of them. Depending on the rest of the menu I wouldn't even go. I'm not into eating anything weird like sushi or scampi.

"I’ve had alpaca and bison loads of times. Python sounds like it should be slow cooked...pulled python...Nom! I’d definitely like to try the croc steak though. I wonder if the water dwelling impacts on its texture any... *thinking face*" I don't know, I imagine it to be sort of flaky and dry.

It's usually 'chuck' beef in a rich gravy encased in a suet crust and boiled in muslin They are called 'rag' puddings cos in the good old days they used to be boiled in rags or tea towels Trust me, one slice, about an inch thick, a few home cooked chips and some fresh veg and you know you've had a good plate of food
