Been chatting to a fellow with the intention of a social meet and possibly more but as convo went on he was continuously mentioning a meet at his place of work after hours, I explained I would be happy to talk about a scenario like that but first meet has to be in a public place. He kept throwing out reasons his idea was better or why he couldn't go to a pub after work for a cola and a chat.

This is not a sympathy or opinion post tho people, this is a "most inventive or entertaining reason he'd truly truly have for meeting in his garage and not in a local bar"

Prove me wrong people

Sounds like he has a specific scenario/fantasy he wants to fulfill and he wants you to play the role of the woman.

hiding from cock pics.

Regardless of anything if you don't feel comfortable, then just don't do it. You are fully entitled to keep at all times within your comfort now zone.

I always suggest meeting in a public place first for your own safety.

This. He just wants sex, simple. I wouldn't be meeting him at all.

He wants sex. Hes thinking if you meet him there and you get on there will be sex, in his place of work, after hours when everyone else has gone.

He can also tell his wife he's working late at the office and be telling the truth

Move on op ,he wants completely different to what you want.

I use it as a filter when people refuse to have a social meet.

His house has been taken over by the militant wing of the local playgroup. Angry toddlers accompanied by their parents armed with fully loaded play do bombs and highon Ribena are staking out the local bars. His garage is the only safe place as he's surrounded it with a repellent shield although you will be required to wear a tin foil hat to repel invasive thoughts

Maybe he is the ceo of a big impressive company and he is thinking of trying to impress you so as to improve his chances for a meet after your social. Probably not though, he's probably got a dungeon in his office

hiding from cock pics.

It is likely he does not want to be seen in public with you in case it feeds back to his significant other, and also cannot be bothered with the social part of it he just wants to get you somewhere alone where he can have his way with you. It certainly wouldn't me a scenario I would feel is completely safe and suitable for your needs being respected.

I spoke to one guy who “can’t” meet anywhere public as he’s being stalked by his crazy ex. Apparently for my own safety I need to meet him at his house or in a hotel (room only, not bar).

He also can’t give out his phone number for the same reason. Apparently it’s much safer if he rings me withholding his number in case she gets a hold of his phone. Blocked me when I pointed out that surely it would be safer if I called him from a withheld number lol

Lol, folks, you all failed your close reading exam.

Defo not going to meet in his workplace.

If he can bring himself to go for a coffee in an actual shop with people around I may meet.

Safety first!

Now, anyone got one up on militant toddlers?

There and to the left a bit

He works in a garage you say? Well obviously he wants to meet there as:

(a) It'll give him some company on the night shift waiting for the occasional car needing petrol to pull in

(b) You'd be able to help him restock the shelves with Ginsters

(c) He'll have a ready made stash of porn magazines on the shelves he can entice you with (side note - are garages now the last bastion of porn mags?)

(d) He can live out a long help fantasy when you ask him to "fill her up" and he can reply "I'll fill you up gladly" in a leery voice.
