"Can ayone tell me what the best treble and bass settings for? Should treble be more than bass? Or is a sound bar better? " Why don't you find the setting that YOU LIKE by setting it up.

"Can ayone tell me what the best treble and bass settings for? Should treble be more than bass? Or is a sound bar better? " Depends on your hearing and your preference. Older people tend to lose high frequency response and prefer more treble/less bass to be able to hear speech better. Younger ones prefer more bass less treble. Music is recorded as "flat" i.e. not needing any adjustment for playback. So... It's down to personal choice.

Had a fiddle on but think it gets worse " Buy a sound bar. TV audio quality is not that good even on high end smart TV's. The issue could by anything. It may be the size of the room, the TV itself or how your hearing it. Just keep fiddling away. Check on AVForums they always have good advice. But yeah I would recommend a good soundbar maybe.
