So I just saw someone say they were waiting on the RAC to come fix a puncture. To me that's basic car maintenance and most drivers know how to do it.

Conversely I have no idea how to fold a fitted sheet.

Do you have anything you think you probably should've learned but haven't?

A lot of newer cars come with a can of tyre weld instead of a spare wheel. Depending on the puncture area and severity, tyre weld wont always work so you have to call someone out to it.

I am capable of changing a tyre. And folding a fitted sheet!

Not very unusual these days. A lot of company cars have this policy as they say due to health and safety your not allowed to fix a puncture yourself and they remove the spare tyre Also. It’s a total pain in the arse so much so why I demanded a spare tyre due to the health and safety of myself and the risk of me sitting on a dark road at night waiting on the big yellow van and the possibility that I might get attacked or even worse sexually assaulted

I would have agreed in the past but some vehicles don't come with a spare tyre and others that do are massive you only have to look as the SUV's about these days.

My god the list would fill the thread put it this way i once got fired 6ft accross a room changing a light bulb no word of a lie but since then iv become very good at holding shockballs

You have to roll them up "

I prefer to just scrunch and throw them in the cupboard.

Folding a fitted sheet... I worked in a laundry for a while and those bloody things... They are not designed to be folded...

I can’t tie a traditional bow tie.

I dread the awards ceremonies every year

Still... keeps my p.a in a job

I remember the days when your spare tyre matched all the others on the car and not these ridiculous space saver things.

That said, your roadwheels were generally a lot smaller then. My first three cars all had 13 inch rims - my current cars have 16 and 17 inchers - and they're a lot fatter too
