Even if you are about to wink you are asked to confirm if you would like to go ahead and wink...

I enjoy a flirty wink... I always read the profile before hand. I don't feel it's lazy. .. it's a little like trying to catch a ladies eye from across a room.

What do you guys think?

I get over 100 winks a day. I never check them. I just click the ‘winks’ button, then click off so it takes the number back to 0.

That is a fair comment. I've only recently come back to FABS.. but historically didn't get many. Maybe because I am a man. And mostly men do the chasing on FABS.

I only ever look at winks if I'm playing a forum game.

But because I am a female on fab and can be an asshole I do sometimes send them rather than a message.

I'm not sure I "get" winks anymore. I used to. Now I just think, why not just send me a message?

Fabs are given for various reasons, but a wink is for testing attraction right? I'd rather just talk for a while, then when I start to fancy them, I'll just come right out with it

Winks work and are underated, I'd rather get rejected or not even replied to by sending a wink that takes 0.5 secs than writing a personalised well thought out message that get's looked at and deleted straightaway but took you a good few minutes to type and think of because they think you're not good enough for them.

I like the wink system,simple way of knowing if someone is interested or not.

Saves typing up messages when you might not even get a reply.

I’ve never looked at my winks...no idea how many I have. I barely have time to delete my messages and respond to a few, never mind looking at winks. Plus, checking winks takes time away from forum banter...down with the winkies!

In our experience 90% of winks are from profiles who clearly haven’t bothered to read the profile.

Most of the messages we have received have shown they’ve read the profile and taken the time to make thoughtful contact.

Our thoughts are winks are a lazy throw away means of contact.

We don’t bother with them.

We get lots of winks but our profile doesn’t let us send them back so we usually send a message back, we find it a good system and most seem genuine, though our filters stop unverified people contacting us anyway

so true then they wonder why we resort to hey how are you route lol I understand everyone has their on preferences but if your profile says winks welcome or come and say hi and you do so being as polite as possible then bang your deleted blocked then your there thinking wtf just happen what does that say lol

I love the wink facility. It lets me know if someone is interested in my profile . However I have to say I don't wink other people .. If I'm interested I usually drop a polite message and let them know I'm interested as too many on here don't even look at their winks .. Please feel free to drop me a wink if you would like to get to know me a bit better .. Ha
