Walking down the only road I've ever known!

I'd volunteer but it sounds creepy and crass, have you tried using your timer on the camera, that way you can take as many as you want and choose the one you do like.

Move away from the coast, all of you who have seaviews from your homes!

I feel your pain op I think a group of us should take some of these amateur photographers up on their offers for shoots - but we'd turn up en masse and refuse to leave, until we've got photos that show us as thin, waif-like catwalk queens.

It's easy once you know how, excuse the pun but just play around with it until you get the hang if it.

Totally feel you...I’m never so bummed out about myself as I am when I’ve spent an hour trying to take artsy bum shots. Or any other shots for that matter . Soul-destroying, I tell you.

Well having just checked you out I thought your pics were very nice. Maybe just smile a bit more.

I say smile like it's easy. When I smile I just look like I'm hiding a sharp object out of shot.

Some fabers do have professional photos made but I'd rather see someone as they are and not in a controlled environment.

I guess OP we are just wannabe perfectionists

I use a remote thingy for the camera and still take loads and never happy. Trouble is I never delete them so end up with hundreds of naff images.

I bought a mini tripod and a remote control for a few quid on Amazon. It gives me much more flexibility to take different types of shots.
