Just seen the word knockers used ,made me feel old and from a more innocent time.

Any other words from back then that don't seem to get used these days .

"Oh I thought this was going to be about ornate door knockers ...... not the other type .. "

.....and a possible critique of them as opposed to door bells?

Can’t beat knockers in my opinion; Bigger, more to get a hand hold of and I love the feel of them in my hand as opposed to merely pressing a teeny weeny button and hoping that it’s sounding inside the premises..... oo er missus!

I don't hear the term "Jugs" or "Bristol's" anymore. Only heard in old Carry On films.

Somewhere In The Ether…

‘John Thomas’ - a nice polite term for a penis as was the similarly courteous, ‘Tuppence’ for a lady’s privy regions
