A lady on here got let down twice but if you saw her pictures she is an absolute stunning looking lady.

They like the thrill of the chase to remind them they've "still got it"

Then reality hits that his wife would use his nut sack as earrings if he got caught, so it stays a fantasy

Not always of course

Manchester (she/her)

Some (men and women) don't have the nerve. Some don't actually want to, just like seeing if they can. Some aren't who they claim to be. Occasionally real life gets in the way. And more.

So? If the person they were due to meet had misled them, no amount of experience would make a difference, and size does matter to many.

What does looks have to do with someone being stood up? It happens to most at some point. It's not just single females. It's not nice, but it is the nature of the site and the lady in question should just repert It, if she's upset

Did she cancel with You? Or just not show up? If she cancelled, then she is well within her right to do so.

Absolutely within rights to cancel.

No show = poor show

Cancel = someone with a conscience who's being considerate

Depends entirely on your attitude. I have had people travel hundreds of miles, paid for hotels and expressly said you can cancel at any point with no guilt trip over wasting any time. Those are the people I want to meet.

You wern't forced into meeting you chose to do so even given your restrictions.

Looks don’t stop you being let down or messed about. A guy I met last year contacted me after 10 months, nagged a bit for me to meet again then when I said yes he ignored me!

I’ve put it down to either him wanting an ego boost and seeing if he could still have me, or him forgetting but then realising again that I’m still the same bat shit crazy person he stopped meeting 10 months prior to him getting back in touch!

Well, it can be justified however you want... But me, I'm a big believer in Treat others how you'd wish to be treated yourself.

Ya won't change my mind on it unfortunately, I'm just a guy who says he is going to do something and does it. I expect others to do the same when an agreement is reached.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned, or have a weighty conscious that prevents me from letting people down

It still very much depends though - if she cancelled with good reason and gave you that much notice then I don't see the issue? Her blocking you may have been down to how you reacted.

If she cancelled because she had a better offer, decided to wash her hair instead etc - then yeah it's poor form but she still gave you notice, and didn't actually just not show up.

The thing about your niece and nephew is actually irrelevant and could actually reflect worse on you that you put a meet ahead of family if I were to play devil's advocate a little.

I can see where you're coming from, however I must tell you I've cancelled meets before now when on my single profile, as I felt I would be letting the person down more by going ahead with the meet and only really being half into it, than by cancelling the meet and giving the chance to meet someone else who was "feeling it"

Enjoy your choccie debate
