Under the Duvet

My Chesterfield sofa is over 20years old and I love it.

It has survived three house moves and probably the same number of serious relationships.

Boyfriends may have come and gone, but the sofa is still here.

The cats have totally wrecked it now,and it looks like something out of a crack house, but it's so comfortable I really don't want to get rid of it.

So what piece of furniture do you love and why?

I got my armchair in a charity shop when I was a student for £10 and no matter how ugly I think it is, I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

A world all of his own

My sofa too, weirdly. It's 13 years old and just so unbelievably comfy. It's a 2 seat 3 seater, if that makes sense, and I can lay flat out on it and not touch either arm. Had many a pleasant nap on it

A solid marble coffee table. It’s older than my mum, my Granny and Grandad had it for ages and we have all knocked ourselves out on it growing up. They were throwing it out when we got our first house and I couldn’t bare the thought of it going to a skip, so we took it. It weighs a tone (obviously, it’s solid marble) it’s not that pretty but I won’t get rid of it

I have two 1930s armchairs that my grandparents had as a wedding present. I’ll always keep them.
