Why do they seem it necessary to barrell down our narrow street at 215 miles an hour . It has shops and houses on either side ffs!!. Fuckin idiots will kill someone . Trouble is each year we get more numpties passing their tests, then thinking they are in a fast & furious film.

Think it's an age thing. I used to drive a hell of a lot faster and had a sad boy racer type car with a big exhaust in my early twenties. I cringe now but at the time I loved that car.

Is I get older I seem to get slower. A few years back I sold my 572 bhp Audi RS6 which I grew to find unnecessarily fast and happily bought a diesel which I love because I can go a long way cheaply.

I think the idea of speed just gets old and you start to think of consequences.

I had two idiots try to race me in a civic

I am riding a 1200cc bike. Seriously

I just turned off was not worth the effort. I doubt I would of changed out of 2nd gear lol

I used to have to scrape up what was left of them and their vehicles for a living. My advice has never really been to the driver, always to the passenger because its always the passenger who gets killed.

Hate the term "boy racer" for a few reasons

Firstly - not all bad drivers are young men.

Secondly - It tars car enthusiasts with the same brush. These are the people who maintain their cars above and beyond pretty much anyone else and are safer, more conscienscious drivers.

Thirdly - It's fucking sexist.

I prefer my bikes for going stupid fast as pretty much if I fuck up chances are its only me getting hurt. As was proved a couple of months ago when I wrote one of them off.

Saying that though we have just bought a 350brake 4x4 as its still fun to watch little johnnies face as you smoke him in a traffic light GP occasionally

I think its more dangerous now as things like VR6's & the like can be had for £1500...

When I'm on one I measure speed as how fast I can get from A2B rather than a max for a few seconds on a needle.

To that end I tend to ride alone a lot although I will do group rides etc.

In the UK the fastest/longest has been 165miles in 100minutes on a mixture of roads, so an average of 99mph....

Took me about an hour to wind down & sit still indoors!!

I used to let cars like that passed me at first, then toot when they were in traffic. Next time they caught up with me, they did the speed limit as they couldn't get past me till i let them.
