"I’ve been to every U2 tour since 1987s Jashua Tree at Wembley, they are the best at live shows, helps if you like their music of course." I'm not a great U2 fan but I'm not keen on places like Wembley. Some bands suit a huge arena but a lot have to play them because they're popular but their sound is less suited for it and more suited for a smaller venue.

"yeah i get that, when U2 done the Elevation tour, that was all Arena around the world, apart from Slane Castle, i went to that one, it was like a festival, the line up was. Kelis JJ72 The Red Hot Chilli Peppers Coldplay probably the best show i’ve ever been to." I've got a ticket for Janelle Monae in Manchester this summer

"Not sure i’ll be bothering any more going to gigs, there’s no other bands that really take my fancy." That's disappointing to hear. So many great (in my opinion) acts playing to 100-200 people all over the country for a few quid.

Massive fan though so its akin to a religious experience for me. I practically exploded in happiness at their Joshua Tree reboot tour

"In smallish venues, look out for: * Rival Sons * The Picturebooks * Monster Truck - terrible name but damn great rock/blues band. " Oh there are worse names than that around. If that's your type of music do you know Massive Wagons? Local to me. Very good

"In my youth was at gigs at least one a month they were affordable then. Seen most of the big Rock bands also saw Jackson live twice Rolling Stones Mike Oldfield Stevie Wonder Wings. Latest band live Mumford and Sons in Hyde Park great show. Was supposed to see Ozzy in O2 but he pulled out due to being sick. Love seeing little bands in small clubs and pubs too and some excellent tribute bands too. " Typically I pay under £20 and sometimes single figure ticket prices.
