Solihull

Another thread has reminded me of my favourite go to snack fish finger sandwiches.

Always microwaved(easier when alcohol is involved)

Always white bread

Real butter

But the question is how do you personalise yours ?

I've started to play with lots of ideas and currently I toast the bread, add cheese and tomatoes and salad cream.

Yes I'm weird but what's your favourite sandwich(brownie points if it's fish finger based)

Crisp sandwiches are another

My fave butty of all time is mature grated white cheddar with sliced white onion, plenty of it, and salad cream, wrapped in foil and left in the car or rucksack for a few hours to sweat.

Don't knock it till you've tried it

Chopped up corned beef with grated cheese and a spoon of mustard stirred together and generously dollopped on to toast and popped under the grill until the cheese bubbles and catches a bit. Haven't had that for years and I'm craving it now...

It's really nice but what's good about it is you can mix it up a little with using different cheeses, I've got a thing for mozzarella at the min

Buttered crusty cob with good quality ham, onion and sweet tomatoes. Simple and always hits the spot.
