I made my first pie the other night, chicken and mushroom, with proper homemade pastry, probably the best pie I’ve had in a while!

Geeky x

Sweet or savoury?

Steak and ale for savoury

Not sure if banoffee counts as a pie or more of a cheese cake

Hefty Hideaway

As a Lancashire Lass I’d have to say Butter Pie. Lush!

For a sweet dish then Wimberry Pie. No contest. Reminds me of home roaming the moors and coming back purple from picking them (and eating to test them of course) all morning.

Apple pie.

Xmas time I’m partial to a Mince Pie, although I do prefer those with the kind of crumbly shortbread pastry.

I make a mean Chicken and Sweet Leek pie, I use chicken thighs as the meat is more tender and It’s got carrots, leeks, celery and white wine in it. Topped with shortcrust pastry.

In fact I thing that I’m going to cook it at the weekend. Absolutely delicious with mustard mash.

A local bakery makes some delicious savoury pies. As for my sweet tooth its a toss up between my mums keylime pie and a childhood fave of McDonald's Apple pie
