Ok, so the Sydney University disclaimer. Does it make any difference and if you have pictures on your profile doesnt that make them pretty much public property anyway?

I'd love to see someone attempt to sue someone for using pussy/cock pic's that they willingly submitted to the internet. Knowing full well, the once uploaded, you've lost control over their potential further distribution.

I get that but to a certain degree the pictures i post are my property and should therefore either A. Know who is using them and what for and B. Be able to say whether they can be used.

I have noticed that there is a woman on here (who contributes to the furoms) that writes over her pics that permission is not given to be used elsewhere ...

Am i correct in thinking then if you post a pic on the net its up for grabs for anyone to do what they wish with?

The status of the photos posted on Fab is probably contained in the agreement you consented to when you signed up to Fab. Saying words that sound sort of legal like on your profile doesn't give them power.

Photos are intellectual property and as such are copyrighted. The fact you post them on the internet does not relinquish the copyright.

However the disclaimer is a waste of time.

Pretty much yes, you lose control over the image the moment you upload it. Unless you've uploaded it to a service who have a privacy policy regarding image theft. Even then, it's extremely difficult to prosecute. It's no longer a case of stealing the actual image data. It can be screenshot, which greys lines of ownership. The simplest way to look at it is, that if you don't want it spread around the internet, or potentially shared around publicly....don't upload it.
