My absolute favourite was Twin Peaks. The tune along with the visuals was just perfect.

True Detective is really good too.

Manimal. Mainly because it went on forever. I clocked it in at about 2 minutes 50 seconds depending on the episode. I suspect they needed to streach the show out a bit.

First series of True Detective certainly and Twin Peaks is hauntingly beautiful especially given the plot.

I quite liked Banshee.

Can’t beat a bit of Boon though.

Yes and yes. Twin Peaks is my all-time favourite show. Angelo Badalamenti's score is just too perfect.

And I recently re-watched the first season of True Detective. I wasn't keen on the ending, but it was easily some of the best drama/TV in recent years.

Always liked Prison Cell Block H. Very short and sweet and fits the theme of the show perfectly. The only audio is prison bars closing and mug shots being taken.

Anyone remember the round the twist theme damn it now i gotta sing it

Have you ever, ever felt like this,

When strange things happen,

Are you going round the twist?

Have you ever, ever felt like this,

When strange things happen,

Are you going round the twist?

Well have you heard the word about the bird and the spider?

It wiggled and wiggled and jiggled inside her.

Have you ever, ever felt like this,

When strange things happen,

Are you going round the twist?

Have you ever, ever felt like this,

When strange things happen,

Are you going? Are you going round the twist?

Both these shows are a couple of my favourites. The opening of Twin Peaks still gives me goosebumps. Along with the visuals it just has a slightly uneasy and unsettling vibe that fits the show perfectly.

And True Detective, every series to date has had incredibly atmospheric and downright haunting opening sequences. They totally get you in the mood for what's to come.
