I loved maths (enough to get a degree in it many years later, just for fun). My worst was English literature - I actually failed the literacy requirement for getting into university.

I'm not counting sports. That's not even a subject. And I dropped languages as soon as I could. Always been hopeless at them. How did they think teaching German and French in the same year would end well?

Loved English, had a great teacher and it helped that he did not like me, it forced me to think through my reasonings and argue the points as he always tended to disagree with my perception and interpretation of things. It instilled a respect and an enjoyment of the written word.

My worst subjects were the practical ones. Put a hammer, screwdriver etc. in my hands and i always manage to make a pigs ear of whatever it is that needs fixing

My best - by far - was English. Basically I love words, poetry, literature, theatre - all of it! Used well it’s a beautiful language! Here it’s often crucified!

Worst - also by far - was physics. I was dire at it - and still am!

Breaktime was my favourite and the start of the day was my worst. Fucking hated school from the moment I went until I left.

History still fascinates me greatly

and maths just kinda made sense to me. I liked that at that level there was a right and a wrong answer.

Hated art with a passion just can’t co ordinate and translate what’s in my head. Hate enforced art. When you have those fun quirky team building meetings at work where you make shit. I sit in the corner and refuse to join in. It stresses me out.

I do appreciate art, passionately though.
