As a man I've never considered myself as anything special at either end of the attractive spectrum. Not had anything personally been aimed at me but I have felt put down by a few comments in general towards certain features and body types.

However regardless of all that I am finding much more confidence and self worth in myself seeing the positive comments to all body types and (men and women) and some of the compliments I have received on here and in person, especially from a certain somebody.

People get confused easily though when they are trying to get a fuck. There is a world of difference between "I'm not fussy" and "I want a connection beyond the physical". Some people just say it without even realising. I’m a big lady. A guy who I’ve known for over 20 years in vanilla world was talking to a friend and me. He was describing another lady to my girl friend, he said “ you know her, she’s a big girl.” Never even crossed his mind, I’m one too. I know he is body conscious though in other ways, it’s often to do with the self worth of the person doing the describing. Also, not realising that it could be hurtful.

For once, I spoke to my girl friend after about it. Next time he uses that terminology I’m going to pull him up on it.

I receive lots of compliments, but I've also been told i have the body of a man and told i need to check my birth certificate and list myself as the correct gender. I have let it get to me vefore, in part because i would describe myself as feminine in how i dress and i do worry i look like a man i drag, but hey some people like that look! The majority of the messages i receive are from straight men so hopefully not all of those messaging are desperate or think they're more likely to get a meet because they're punching below

This isn't the place for that sort of discussion, though. That's for real life near and dear/ medical practitioners.

The thing I've found most helpful in losing weight (in progress) is loving myself and not giving a fuck about what other people think. The crap that goes on here is part of a wider cultural pattern that does the opposite.
