Frustrations at work

This is completely non fab thread.

I work in IT and my main frustration is when people report an “urgent” issue and when you try to contact them to help them they say they’re too busy for me to help. Surely if it was as urgent as they stress they’d be willing to accommodate someone who is going to help them?

What is frustrates you at work?

Haha see, this frustrates me about my job.

People who work in IT and have no concept of what my job involves. Think I can just sit around and wait for them to solve my problem but I can’t. I have people to see constantly who can’t wait while I’m on the phone for half an hour turning my machine on and off at the wall, waiting for it to reboot, pressing this button and that button.

We contact you coz we want you to just do the magic stuff while we do our job. IT is just a tool, it’s not our job. And a fucking shit tool at that.

Bloody hell, good job I’m off work this week otherwise you might have gotten me in a bit of a ranty mood about it Lex

I understand your frustrations with IT and to be honest I have yet to find the button I can push that magically fixes things.

I guess people who have a company car and travel a lot expect mechanics to fix their car remotely whilst they still drive it.

Hiding in the shadows

People who don't pull their weight!

I have a part time chef/bar job.

Arrived yesterday to find the kitchen a total mess, it hadn't been cleaned down the night before.

20mins to get it all right, all the time food orders coming in.

I refused to start cooking til it was clean.

Then realising things that should have been taken out the freezer the night before hadn't been, having to tell people I couldn't do their order.

Yes I left a polite note on the whiteboard for that person when they came in last night

I guess luckily for them they will get another to use while theirs is being fixed so that they can continue with their job. Unfortunately I have to do my job without the necessary tools, which at times is quite impossible, causes further frustrations and anger to the people I’m seeing, putting me in further potentially awkward and violent positions and I kinda have to suck it up.

Arrrgh! See, no more, last day of my hols, I’m gonna chill, play fuck, cup of coffee or pass or some shit like that instead

That’s pretty bad. I hope the management will sort out the evening shift for doing that.

Hiding in the shadows

Oh words will be had.

Things will change for a couple of weeks then it'll slack off

It's not a new problem & it's always the same member of staff.

Aaaaargh!

When understaffing means I am then made vulnerable to getting attacked my whole shift with no one to watch my back.

The Human Behind the IT.

Nothing is Magic. As even with the Robot A Human programmes them.

IT,Technology didn't grow in the ground. It is Man Made.

And it is that thinking As we are ust to getting things with a Click of a button, but that click of the button goes to the human behind the Screen in the big Building.

Do you want Us Humans not to work at All.

The Computer Says No.

They didn't know where to find the click button to clean the kitchen after them. Lol
