Last post today, I don’t know about you but I’m finding it more and more difficult to believe anything politicians say, they all seem to be money motivated professional politicians !!

None seem to live in the real world anymore, I’m not sure they fully understand what the people they are supposed to represent really want??

I think a lot of them get into politics with the idea that they’re going to make a difference, but once in parliament they’re either corrupted by money or power. Unfortunately I don’t believe or trust any of them x

The Party Political system itself is as much to blame.

I would imagine that most go into politics with an aspiration of representing their community. But we see people aligning themselves with a party and taking on their views.

Further on down the line, rising stars are cherry picked for certain constituencies despite having no obvious ties to them.

Eventually they get to the point that they believe they are elected to make decisions on our behalf because they know better, rather than acting as the representative of the view of the people.

Look at all the safe seats. Stick a performing seal up with the right coloured rosette on and they'll will win because people won't vote for them'uns.

However, as a system goes, it is better than a dictatorship or one party system.

There is a lot of truth in that they used to be there to represent the people these days they are there to represent their own personal interests.
