Well I joined this site a bit ago as it came recommended by a friend and as the subject says it's not what I expected at all.

I wasn't expected to get chatting and meet straight away but can't even get a conversation going.

You've just started one. Hang around the Forum for a bit. Get some advice on your profile and communication. Take it on board, learn a thing or two and you'll be fine.

Just remember to treat most people how you'd like to be treated yourself.

You probably want to be intrigued, complimented, made to laugh, have an interest shown in you. Do that to others and allow your profile to show that's the kind of man you are.

Yea that's a fair point and I've already taken some advice on board. I always try to treat people the way I want to be treated aswell.

It no more the trying to find a relationship it the long game I'm afraid,and most of the "people" will just waste your time for their own selfish needs or have some "high Standard" that you will never get near to, that will deflate you crush your soul, and being actual human being is just not good enough

I keep seeing this thrown around and it's just not true. I've had plenty of decent conversations with women on here in private messages. Sex is mentioned but it is in no way expected and just good old conversation continues.

It may not be the majority, and who knows relly how much of a minority it is, but it is quite possible to find people that are just as happy to chat with you as they are to fuck you (or ignore you).

Maybe have a look in the Meets forum section for socials.

Many women say they don't bother replying to messages if they don't want to fuck the person. In the next breath they get irate when men treat them the same way!! Make of that what you will.....

This place is as good or bad an experience as you want to make it OP - it's all in your control to a greater or lesser degree. The key is finding the right approach that works for you, along with setting your attitude and expectations correctly.

I'll not offer profile advice as you've not asked for any, but you do appear to be looking for something very specific, which won't appeal to all, so that may result in it taking longer to find what you are hoping for.

I will say though, that quite often when people find they're not getting the connections they expected, that it's often down to one of a few things:

- Approach/expectations/attitude - get those wrong and you'll find this place hard work.

- Profile/pictures - make sure they are as appealing as they can possibly be.

- Message style - there's no magic catch all formula, but still worth looking at how you approach this - personally I don't start a conversation with a view to meeting as the endgame, more I start a conversation to get to know people and if that a connection and chemistry are found only then do I think about meeting.

- Forums/socials/clubs - consider all of these as an alternate way of getting to know people and them you, they're a good way to spark conversations on here.

Op maybe stick around the forums for a bit or pop into the chat rooms. They are a great way of breaking the ice and getting chatting to people and can be a lot of fun. Just join in with conversation and before you know it you’ll get noticed. Hubby and I met here as singles and we both made loads of friends through the chat rooms, half of the guests at our wedding reception were regulars in chat lol.

Fab can be very hard for single guys I’m afraid, there are just so many here! You’re already one step ahead of some by having a reasonable profile, this helps a lot! Honestly though, don’t hold your breathe waiting for replies to messages, most will probably be deleted without being read.
