1st leg

Man Utd 0-2 PSG

First defeat for care taker Ole..

Pogba also sent off!

PSG didn't even have Neymar or Cavani in their team.

Are United now out the CL?

"Thought United were poor tonight. Well beaten and all but out of the competition."

Barca came back from 4 - 0 down against PSG to beat them in the second leg a couple years back.

They had a significant lead overturned the following year too.

Serial folders.

MU are still in it.

No

Utd are still in the CL,and will be untill the final whistle of the return leg.

I do fancy them to get the 2 goals in Paris, but not without conceding at least one.

Utd are 3,4 maybe 5 years away from being CL winners again, but they will get there

They were very poor and had no control of the midfield or even created any decent chances.

There was no reason for Utd fans to boo Di Maria in that manner or give him such abuse like that idiot who threw a beer bottle.

Sanchez has been rubbish since he joined Utd and doesn't deserve the high wages he is on thats for sure.

Realistically they aren't going to win the CL. Think Ole needs to just focus on the league and getting that 4th possibly 3rd spot

My point was, stranger this have happened.

Personally I don't think they've got a cat in Hells chance though.

If they get a spunky goal PSG will get get rattled, then it'll be a different game.

They're years away from being real CL contenders again.

Still miles ahead of my boys though.

Not seen it and somewhat annoyed there's no highlights show on ITV tonight but from what I've read was a game of two halves, first half we couldn't get the ball to Eriksen and Son, second half we were on fire and could have won by a lot more.

Best thing about losing 6 - 0 to City, after the Bournemouth game everyone was saying how 4 - 0 was our worst result for 23 years.

What a wank game, Liverpool again looking like a limp cock against a side that won't allow them to play how they want to. Bayern are nowhere near as good as they were a few years back but just stuck men behind the ball.

Ha ha go on... I dare you to dream and say it... your team to go all the way and become champions

I wish I could but I'm too much of a realist

Now if it were to happen I'd be beside myself and on our day we can beat anyone pretty much - trouble is "our day" against the likes of Barca, PSG or MAN UTD or Bayern (assuming they all go through) will have to be a monumental one

I don't normally do this, but fixed your post for you... Leicester won the league. That was real. Just saying...

They did and that (combined with 40 odd years of supporting them) is why I'm a realist

P.S. As the saying goes - it wasn't broke so didn't need fixing

Haha alright than this is one of those rare moments when a compromise is ideal because we don't know what could happen tomorrow.

As the saying goes - anything is possible

I'll give you that and seriously good luck for tomorrow - would prefer to see you through than PSG if I'm honest - gives us more of a chance if we get you

God damn it G! I like the way you think. Seen as I am also a realist... see you soon than oh and the way things are going we will finish on top of you in the league... did I just say that out loud!

Ha ha yeah you did and so long as we get fourth I'd settle for that - will mean you appoint the baby faced assassin and keep your mitts off Poch (although after last night think the bigger concern is keeping Real's mitts off him!!)"

Baby faced assassin... jeez say it like you mean it G I prefer terminology such as super sub or Ole Ole Ole having said that...

That is his secret because opponents get bedazzled by his face! They think he is only a young'un... inexperienced... next thing you know... pow 3 goals have gone in

2nd Leg FT

PSG 1-3 Man Utd

Man Utd go through on away goals!

What an incredible comeback and result!

It brings back memories of 1999 again.

Incredible courage from Rashford to take that penalty at the end.

This result will surely go down as one of the best ever in Man utd's history especially that they were with 10 regular players out injured and their star man Paul Pogba. I also don't think any team has ever lost 1st leg 2-0 at home and then gone on to win the tie in the 2nd leg. With Real Madrid and now PSG both out maybe Man United will win the champions league this year?

No team has lost 0-2 in the first leg of a Champions League tie or the old European Cup and gone through over two legs until tonight.

Hats of to Solskjaer and Phelan for going two up top away from home knowing they'd play a back three to try and get the first goal and then not pushing too hard too early to get the third.

They arguably played without seven midfielders that would have started if fit or not suspended.

Pogba

Herrera

Matic

Lingard

Martial

Sanchez

Mata

"Would United fans take a champions League crownif it meant Liverpool would win the league?"

When Sir Alex, Ole and others connected... they only had one thing in mind... that was to win trophies and major competitions.

Meaning:

Premier League

Champions League

FA Cup

If Man Utd can win a game without 10 of their first team players and come back from 2-0 down... what do you think can happen going forward... as I said before...

Anything is possible

Genuine question and one not intended to detract from what OGS is doing at all - but given the links it's a rational question to ask - how much is SAF the one pulling the strings in the background? Even if only in a minor way.

I can't believe, given their history together, that OGS doesn't talk to SAF on a regular basis and take notice of what he has to say.

Not saying it as a bad thing necessarily either, if I were OGS I'd do exactly that, just a thought that crossed my mind.

No

Utd are still in the CL,and will be untill the final whistle of the return leg.

I do fancy them to get the 2 goals in Paris, but not without conceding at least one.

Utd are 3,4 maybe 5 years away from being CL winners again, but they will get there

Of course he's listening to any wise words SAF may offer him, that's what good managers,in all walks of life do,but I doubt he goes running to him every five minutes.

Oli is his own man,and no matter what words he receives, good bad or indifferent,he will make his own decisions, because the buck stops with him,no one else.

Imo that's why Jose failed, thought he was bigger than the club, the history, the fans.

Oli is his own man,and no matter what words he receives, good bad or indifferent,he will make his own decisions, because the buck stops with him,no one else.

Imo that's why Jose failed, thought he was bigger than the club, the history, the fans."

"Genuine question and one not intended to detract from what OGS is doing at all - but given the links it's a rational question to ask - how much is SAF the one pulling the strings in the background? Even if only in a minor way.

I can't believe, given their history together, that OGS doesn't talk to SAF on a regular basis and take notice of what he has to say.

Not saying it as a bad thing necessarily either, if I were OGS I'd do exactly that, just a thought that crossed my mind.

That is a great question and greynsweet have covered it. Ole is in regular contact with Sir Alex and you can tell Ole is his own man from all the interviews he does pre and post match.

He already had a 21 year old in Rashford on the pitch... than he has the nerve to put on a 19 and 17 year old... the audacity... not only is he rewriting history... he is breaking club records which is a huge achievement already... he is:

#Relentless

#ManOfSteel

Even if we were not to win any trophy he has taken things to a whole new level and building the foundation for things to come...

However the whole club is going for it. The willingness to strive against the odds and become champions is the Manchester United way

The intense rivalry and passion between Liverpool and United is amongst the best in sport. Liverpool are doing amazing things this season. I like Mo Salah and Shaqiri. Really talented players and Klopp is a great manager!

If it's not United then Liverpool to win the premier league for me. We would still have more league wins than them and next season we will be title contenders from the start!

However...

It is well overdue for us to take over Liverpool in champions league wins. Let's make it happen!

"1st leg

Man Utd 0-2 PSG

First defeat for care taker Ole..

Pogba also sent off!

PSG didn't even have Neymar or Cavani in their team.

Are United now out the CL?

No

Utd are still in the CL,and will be untill the final whistle of the return leg.

I do fancy them to get the 2 goals in Paris, but not without conceding at least one.

Utd are 3,4 maybe 5 years away from being CL winners again, but they will get there"

Random, but I like it! Another great question. This thread has turned out to be even better then it was intended by Ash. Interesting...

One of the easiest answers:

For us to win the World Cup!! Fuck me, that is the ultimate prize for any football fan and well overdue!! That is something we ALL want including the players of all rival clubs. Wow that would be just perfect!!

I'm with Adam on this one - England to win the World Cup every time - the only time I'd answer Nora's question differently would be if it were United to win the League and Champions League *AND* England to win the World Cup.

Even if you substituted Spurs for Utd in the original question I'd still say England - regardless of what you might think of the players the World Cup is still *the* biggest trophy you can win in football, and that's before you consider the other benefits like feel good factor for the country etc.

Don't even get me started on the feel good factor for the country... I was rooting for Leicester like many when they were winning and that was an amazing feeling. There will be no bigger buzz then us winning the World Cup. My god even the thought of that makes me get butterflies!!

I am highly competitive with sports especially football because not only i'm I a fan I am a player. Country before club every time.

Englaaaaaaaaaand !!!

P.S. I am a two-footed player. Oh ffs posting in here is making me want to play. If Utd were not playing on Sunday I would be on the pitch.

I am getting way too excited about footy on a "sex site" so back to the thread topic. Champions League draw will be on Friday 15th March.

I think most football fans were rooting for Leicester that year(unless of course your team was challenging,(GGMU) )

Odd that in 26 years of the premiership only six teams have claimed the title

If Spurs tweaked a few things and had the winning mindset right to the last game they could have joined that list and made it 7 teams over the years. I think the opportunities have been missed now though and it's too late for them to win in the upcoming seasons.

If anyone missed what making history looks like here you go...

Whilst I agree our best chance (so far) of winning the league was that season or the one after - I actually believe in the project we have and that we're ahead of it in real terms - if we can keep hold of Poch, get into the new stadium, and not lose key players (including Eriksen) whilst adding a couple - I see no reason why, within the next three to five years, we can't win the league - yeah there's a lot of "ifs" in there but in the last 10-15 years we've grown more and more in stature and standing and just need to find the next, and possibly final level.

So many twists and turns in the League right now at the top and bottom end of the table. It is going to be edge of your seat excitement right to the last game.

One of my good friends on here is an Arsenal fan... proper Gooner!! Let's just say she told me exactly what she thought when they beat us on Sunday. Cheeky

It's Liverpool tomorrow night 2nd leg in Champions League. Looking forward to it.

Why oh why!? Every other forum has sexual reference, this was a normal casual chat amongst real footy fans... legs/bums... this was not meant to be a sexy thread you know!

I even bought him a calendar it's all about being a football mum honest. I just cant wait for August

I'm not going to apologise for liking footballers bums and legs! I don't understand football but I do understand sexy bums .

I've said it before and I will say it again, men don't own Sport or footballers bums! "

Oh fuck!! Ash the OP the refree has been bypassed... if I owned this thread that would have been a straight red card

For the record:

I do have a footballers bum

Wait... snap out of it!! This was the only thread that was a safe space on here. The only place with no sexual reference on a "sex site" oh well it was good while it lasted. Damn it LJ

"It's a real shame Ronaldos all over my sons bedroom pffff..

He has lovely legs! Footballers legs and bums are the only reason I watch!

What the flip... happened in here!? Who told spidey about this thread!? Come on fuss up...

Alright seen as your son is a good football player so obviously he will use the best for inspiration. My chin does not really give the full picture so I suppose Ronaldo had to be 2nd choice

As for LJ ...

Haha ... let me compose myself. Got the giggles, can't focus. This is feckin serious what is wrong with me... right...

Yeah the players are important with their clothes on. The players are not safe on or off the pitch these days! Grrrr-ing this is not a footy porn orgy kinda shindig with mentally removing players shorts to reveal their butt cheeks!!

I am not even going to bother with the offside rule because you will probably make that into something sexual...
