A true professional if ever there was one. At the time of the 1966 world cup, goalkeepers were treated as "2 a penny" by nearly all top football clubs in the UK and were paid next to nothing. Banks changed all that and Shilton, who he mentored took keeping to another level altogether. RIP

unlike today's keepers there were no goalkeeping coaches back then. Gordon Banks was self taught so for me he stands head and shoulders above any of today's lot. His sense of positioning in his box was second to none
