Depends on what's causing it. Can be viral. You can ask your doctor for Stemetil or travel sickness tablets helped my partner he's had a couple of bouts in the past

Get a referral to TNE to check for Meniere's.

Have you had a cold or blocked sinuses? Low blood sugar or low blood pressure? It could be simple or a temporary labyrinthitis.

Be careful getting out of bed, walking down stairs and crossing roads.

It's an inner ear problem. It can be triggered by different things, including food. I was spent a few months getting physio for mine and now know how to manage it.

When it started it was a change to my tinnitus that seemed to trigger it. The tests are horrible but mine is now under control.

With most people it lasts for life its not like catching a cold!

And also there is meniere's disease, which is a disorder that affects the inner ear and causes dizzy spells

"In most cases, Meniere's disease affects only one ear. Meniere's disease can occur at any age, but it usually starts between young and middle-aged adulthood."

It could be Labrynthitis...this can last from hours to weeks.Should clear up though but you should see your Dr.

I had this 16 years ago but my diagnosis changed to Menieres disease..which has affected me on and off ever since...get it checked...the condition can be managed with the right meds..

Ive tried 4 different lots of tablets and none have helped to get rid of it. I had to return as i was loosing the will to live sitting on my backside. 7 nearly 8 weeks i was off work and although my employer was good i had to return to work. Im doing short days still as i just cant get past the fatigue i have its frustrating.

In the middle

I’ve suffered with it for 20 years, this time of year I am particularly careful about my ears, draughts and being out in the wind can set it off, also I try and slept in certain positions that don’t cause it, as others have mentioned I’ve gone to bed feeling fine and by the time I wake up I’m dizzy as hell because the position I’ve ended up in has caused an imbalance

I have an active job and im trying to do all the activities that the job brings and dont want others to think im being lazy. Its frustrating as im not a lazy person and ive had to slow right the way down and stop working off ladders and in other situations just so im not at risk.

The most frustrating part is i cant get to see a specialist for nearly a year ive been there when the gp rang and all they could say is this is the sad state of the nhs which is of no help to me.
