I despair! My lovely sweet 17 year old niece as been attacked at work by someone trying to shoplift. Fancy threatening a young girl!

Unfortunately It’s not just ‘these days’ it’s always been like this.

The fact that she’s lovely, sweet, 17 and your niece has nothing to do with it unfortunately.

They’d have done it to anyone.

I really hope she’s ok and that work are providing her with help and support to get through it as well as her family and friends

She’s actually doing ok, pretty shook up and police have taken a statement but it’s her birthday this week ans I hope this as not ruined it.

It can be utter shite at times.

I've had a knife to my throat for asking someone to pay their bill (I'm a waitress, though at the time I was one of the managers)

I've been spat at for informing someone their child was too tall to play in the kids play area (height chart on the wall as you walk in so there's no excuse or arguments)

I've been caught up in fist fights between couples (the bloke was shaking the woman whilst she was holding a baby) I jumped the counter and took the baby from her, got to the phone and called the police. Plenty of blokes around at the time but all eyes were on me and not a single man helped.

I've had plates thrown at me because the food took too long to arrive.

I've been pinned in a corner by a group of traveller youths, whilst the others stole goods from behind the counter.

A day in the life of customer service!

P
