For the past two months it's been such a very bad time I my life, I really have to ask myself what the hell is going on, and I must add I a no way looking for sympathy just a warning to others, it may just save your life. It started 8 weeks ago when my lovely mum passed away, then all Christmas I was in hospital, then on January the 13th my beautiful home caught fire, I've lost all my memories, forty years of tremendous pride in my home. Now it's a burnt out wreck, like walking into hell. We are lucky we got out myself and my two nephews, and maybe it's a blessing mum passed away when she did or I would never have got her out. I urge all of you to think when you leave your homes, if you have unplugged things, the fire in my home was caused by a simple battery charger that was plugged in and it caught fire, so you see how easy a fire can start. That then spread to thd other thirteen rooms and what isn't burnt is smoke or water damaged. Thank god I have insurance and the house had smoke alarms. Please all of you, make sure you have insurance and alarms, and unplug, it could save your life and your home.

Oh Pam you’ve had a difficult time. I’m sorry to hear this.

I worry about chargers being left plugged in. You’re not the first person I’ve heard of that has experienced this x

So sorry to hear that OP, terrible situation, & God rest your Mums soul.

One of my long time friends died of cancer yesterday, in her early 40's, & several other friends have it at the moment too. Life really sucks sometimes, it really makes you put things in perspective.

Worth saying, if anyone doesn't have one, it's worth getting a fireproof safe for irreplaceable things like photo`s, as, once they're gone, they're gone for good.

Sorry to read about all the bad luck that you have had recently Pam and hope things change for the better soon. I agree with your advice about smoke alarms and everyone should make sure them and that they are tested often.

... Smoke alarms are a life saver, and the fire brigade will fit them free, mine were badly burnt but were still going off.
