Had anyone had there eyebrows tattooed on I always wanted it done because my eye brows are shit but was £400 too expensive, had been using the tattoo brow peel off but don’t have a steady hand so looked squint so I use that as eye liner instead but seen a vowcher online £99 so booked it wanted black eyebrows but the woman would only do dark brown an I was pleased with the result but my son laughing at me saying I looked like a clown and I put my pics on a beauty group I am on and they are clicking the laughing like button just pissed off really but hurt deep down . Don’t know what to make of it

And to make matters worse the woman said Karen you come back in 2 weeks for a top up that’s not included in the price

Don’t know what to do I’m a bit down

Had a shit week in general got let down by a meet who said he was meeting me Monday morning he then kept putting pictures off google street maps of my road saying look I’m here but he wasn’t there

Having some wine now

They always look much darker when first done. Mine were blonde but looked really Dark in the pics when first tattooed. Sadly it’s only semi permenant so you need an initial top up then you’ll need to get them topped up every 6-12 months depending on how they healed.

I’ve had mine done, they do start off dark and they do fade. Had them done over 2 years ago and they are still there. I wouldn’t pay 400 quid though, max price 280. I recommend you go back and have them topped up as once they settle you will have gaps.

How much are they charging you for a top up? as that is normally included in the price.

As in to long towards the outer corner of your eye?

I can’t comment on the price of a top up as my friend done mine so I only paid for the ink and needles, not her time. But £400 originally is far too much!

Point Nemo, Cumbria

I met a woman who'd had her eyebrows removed and a pair of brows tattooed well above where they ought to be. I said I could tell they were fake.

She seemed surprised.

Did the tattooist talk through shape and size before application? If you’re really not happy with them, do you feel confident about going back to the salon to talk through your concerns with them?

Honestly. Just leave them to settle, and see how you feel about them in a few days.. if you’re happy with them that’s all that matters! Maybe the tattooist felt black would be too dark for your complexion and that’s why they suggested brown?

I had mine done 2 years ago and at first they look really dark, I looked like I had 2 caterpillars on my forehead, but they go lovely. Once the skin heels and peels in a week you’ll notice it.

Have they asked you to go back on a few weeks for a touch up Op, I did try and message you but I’m

Too old lol

Hi Karen!

Even if your eyebrows don’t ‘look right ‘ - I’m not sure that’s the whole issue here anyway?

Your son laughed at you - that’s unkind! I’d suggest chatting him and telling him that his comments hurt your feelings and made you feel bad about yourself! There are ways of making constructive comments which don’t make people feel like crap - maybe he should be encouraged to consider that?

And this beauty group! Do you (generally) find it useful and enjoyable/uplifting? Was this laughing (which made you feel bad) a one-off or are you (and others) frequently made to feel bad about yourself/themselves? If so I’d suggest leaving the group?

As for your eyebrows - I’m a pluck and pencil kind of gal - so can’t help you there I’m afraid!

Do you like them OP? It's really shit that people are laughing at you. Is it a place where you can go back and they'll sort them out?

Sounds like when they heal they might look a bit better.

Hiding in the shadows

I have mine part done.

I have my own eyebrows but due to a couple of scars, one grows oddly & I have bald spot on the other.

As for cost, I have no idea what the going rate is.

My eldest sons dad needed a models when he was training 12yrs ago, I rounded up a group of friends & he's been doing mine ever since.

Which reminds me, I must call him, they really need them doing again soon.

sorry from a male point of view

pluck or thin them to a point define them with a pencil or liner

But I just dont see the need or the point to remove every eyebrow hair just to have it tattooed back on.

to me its just a fashion statement nothing more

Some people only have very thin eyebrows and they will never grow back. They might shave off what's there to make it look less odd. Can't win either way really.

Northampton Somewhere

It's quite a big decision to have that done. Did you see some examples of the tattooists work?

If I'd paid that much I'd feel just the same as you. I'd like to get mine done but I'm a bit scared.

It's very mean that people are taking the piss to. Don't rise to it!

May I see a pic?

Not everyone.

Some people have lost their hair through illness, cancer, alopecia etc

My ex specialises in medical treatment, he's also does scalp micro pigmentation on patients who are totaly bald or have scars from brain surgery, nipples after breast surgery.

Like a lot of procedures, not everyone has things done for fashion or pure vanity.

Eyebrows are left to grow back after tho maybe tidied up. The tattoo itself can look pretty good if the good job is well.

I have thought about having this as I would love great eyebrows but I didn't have the bottle as anything permanent scares me especially on my face. Have mine tinted and waxed.

I really feel for you it's certainly not a great situation to be in and people do love to take the mick which I imagine is really hurtful.

Dont Listen to what people say just do what you can to fix it. May cost you more money but it'll be worth it. Maybe do some research and go somewhere else.

I hope you figure it out best of luck. Btw they will fade.

It’s a group mostly Americans I go on it now n again but just read the posts really get tips n that but posted my eyebrows as didn’t look right n they were all laughing but some nice people said they will shrink as they heal so fingers crossed and as for my son he’s a cheeky sod

Just a. Update well the pain last night was horrendous so bad I had to phone nhs out of hours went to the out of hours gp who told me I’d made it worse wrapping clim film round my head ( the woman who tattoos them told me to let them heal in the air but I’d read online to use cling film like a normal tattoo and sudocream )

Anyway doctor cleaned off the sudocream with saline and told me to contact woman what tattooed them

She said pains normal not to cover them with cling film n see her on Monday

To be honest the redness has gone down and dr have given me a pain killer
