I have been single for over 11 years. I have no desire to be a 'couple' again. I was married for over 20 years, most of them very happy. No regrets. Just love being single.

I have been single for more than a few years now. I enjoy my own space and freedom so I can see me being single for a long time yet. Never married, no kids and no baggage suits me just fine.

Depends on how I feel about other things in my life.

At times, I'm glad to be free to make my own decisions and plans for my future. At other times, I miss the special kind of intimacy and companionship that comes with a long term relationship.

I suppose the middle road between the two afforded by having 'FWBs' might make for a happy medium - I guess I'll know if/when it happens.

Yeah im single ever since i broke up with my ex (well we never formally broke up, i dropped her off at a police station and that's as the last i saw of her i think that counts)

I have a few friends with benifits and the occasional one off or semi regular meets.

And it suits me i have my own life but still get to do coupley things.

I mean I love going out dancing all night and not having to worry if anyone else feels like it, or going to as many festivals and gigs as I want each year, but I hate having to wait for meets, and nothing compares with being able to reach out and touch someone any time you like, having them reach out and touch you, any time they like, for a hug, or for more.

Know what you mean with this; a traditional relationship just wouldn't cut the mustard. Not to say that it shouldn't contain many traditional elements; they're warm, comforting and beautiful. But there's plenty of adventures not contained within a traditional relationship that yearn to be explored...

FWBs fill a gap but they tend to come and go (either them or me... without a deeper attachment I get bored quickly).

This is my view too! 90% of the time I love being single, but 10% of the time I wish I had someone to snuggle up to, share a meal with, or just get downright filthy with.

He knows. He wants a child but I've had enough of my own. My youngest is 16yrs old. I don't think I could go through that again, just to give someone else the chance to be a parent.

That’s about the truth for me also. Having and being someone important to the other person would be the absolute best for me, I’ve no idea if I could share space with a man and I’ve no problem trying but I’m just not sure.

It’s moot anyway, I’ve been single for over 30 years.

When you get to the I really enjoy doing my thing more than a relationship ... there actually is a cut off point and lots of research has been done on this relatively new phenomenon. I've read quite a bit as I've passed the way more than half my life happily single mark

I would love to be in a relationship again but just cannot bring myself to commit to one. My ex wife left me and the kids once i left the army after 19 years of marriage. Then i met a really beautiful, caring lady who i fell head over heels in love with. Then after four short months she died. A clot went to her brain. So now i'm stuck being single.

I really enjoy being single, the only thing that annoys me is my friends wives who always say oh you're a lovely guy and you will find someone. They say it with pity and I'm like fuck off your husbands constantly moan about you so don't pity me.

Single but would love to be in a loving relationship again. Yes there are perks to being single but there are perks to being in a relationship. It's give and take, I'd like to not grow old alone. can't have everything you want in life but think you will have more of a chance if you're with someone than not.
