"I'm visiting the outskirts of London this weekend where I have a business meeting as male me and have to be male me for a good chunk of my time there, but I've decided to go out and about in TV mode as Joanne whilst I'm down there as it will be the first time I've had this opportunity, my question for advice if anyone can help is; are hotel staff at Travelodges in particular accepting of transvestites/crossdressers, and would checking in as a male but coming and going enfemme be regarded as wrong or cause me problems, any good advice would be gratefully accepted. X" Personally, I can't imagine why anybody would have a problem with it. Whenever I've stayed at a Travelodge, I've found the staff to be nothing other than friendly and accepting of all sorts. I think you should go, let your hair down without a worry and have a wonderful time.

" Thanks its just abit daunting although I've been out and about many times, the reception desk in a hotel seems to be like a funnel effect where everything gets focused, and if your going to get challenged that's the place it'll happen, thank you x

"If the receptionists are anything like me in my job they’ll be looking at holidays online or Ikea website and only really looking when someone approaches the desk. " I've heard of some Travelodges having security on the reception area checking room keys, but it's reassuring what you say x

"I'm sure you may get some funny looks, but I doubt they'll say anything, I'm not sure they'd be allowed to if I'm honest. You've as much right to use the place as anyone else. If it's causing you stress, then don't bother. If the lure is too strong, then go for it. What's the worst that can happen? You make someone laugh. What's the best that can happen? Being accepted for who you are." Thanks x

"personally I don't think I'd be brave enough, so I tip my hat to you in respect " I've been out and about in Newcastle loads of times, but always in the gay bars, the problem is alot of straight people are frequenting gay bars now and a few times I've been in them I've been made to feel a little uncomfortable, one time a group were trying to take selfies but were doing it so I would be in the picture, so I'm quite confident about being out dressed as I think I'm quite convincing but I'm not axsucker for punishment as well lol

"I have done similar many times at different hotels and never had a bad reaction. Be confident, smile and be natural if they do shoot you a look... Most people really won't care as much as much as you think they will. If you talk to someone and they become uncomfortable just carry on, thats there problem and they will get over it. Go out and own being yourself, you won't look back x " Thanks x

"Having met both male and female at various travelodges etc for sex, its never bothered me, I think you be fine - they are only concerned if you cause problems whilst families are about - Follow your own desires and live your life to full " Thanks x

"I stayed in a travel lodge in Luton and had to pass reception 9 times in one night as I had to let guys in the front door as the doors are locked and you need a key card to open them and nothing was said etc tho the young lad did not know where to look x" Thanks, that's reassuring, although as yet I've no plans to meet anyone at the hotel I'm not averted to the idea, x

You could dress in a dinosaur outfit and the hotel wouldn't care.

"New year's Eve I was in a Travelodge in Blackpool,in the evening I went out dressed. However when I got back around 6am my passkey didn't work. Still dressed and looking a little disheveled I had to go to the desk to let them know. The guy couldn't care less, sorted my key and off to the room I went. So don't worry they've seen it all " You legend

"Thanks for all of the advice and supportive messages, I'm looking forward to it x" Go have a great time I have been in hotels all over the country, showing my myself in male mode and female mode, swapping between as i needed. I find that female staff in particular always give me a nice smile and enjoy having a chat. Men are a little more reticent, i think sometimes they get a bit embarrassed and confused lol. Just stay away from the kind of scumbag places that you wouldn't visit in your male mode. And maybe avoid d*unk men, the few times I've encountered twattish behaviour it was usually pissed up blokes... Hugs and kisses, Polly xx
