When I'm on here I'm Rubi.

Essentially she's me but a bit more confident and flirty and definitely shows more flesh! I don't feel like I'm being deceptive as obviously the words I type are coming from me and represent how I am inside, it's just a side I wouldn't normally show so openly in public.

I'm the same, I think. Just less vocal/confrontational. In real life people tend not to vocalise their preferences within earshot of those it may offend, so I've no need to pull them up on it. Here, I kind of feel obliged to.

Im more "argumentative" online debates are fun but they're a "im bored" time killer in real life im generally much more interested in whats happening at the time to bother digging for statistics or trying to explain physics to somone who wants to blame things on fairies

Well I am lucy on here and maybe she is a little more adventurous as I enjoy the trill of the role play in a sense,As this is the escape from the mundane life were I can explore more of my sexual self.That I am not a Mum etc etc,if that makes sense. that I like to go to.but my morals and boundaries are the same

I’m pretty true to myself I’d say.

Rarely serious, always flirty and very approachable.

Sometimes people do say they found me a bit intimidating at first just because I’m quite big and have a few visible battle scars.

I thought we'd cleared this up as Cixi? I'd rather not communicate with you directly on the Forum, because "You get on my tits". Yet you still seem intent on following me about different threads, pecking at what I say. I mean... it seems insane. The problem is you dont read things thoroughly enough to deserve a response most of the time. It's usually something negative, sarcastic, or wrong, it's starting to get on my nerves.

Case in point being this sentance "In real life people tend not to vocalise their preferences WITHIN EARSHOT of those it may offend, so I've no need to pull them up on it".

If the preference is likely to offend someone, it's usually based on an -ism of some description. Not Pineapple Pizza.

Interesting thread, but I don't think that you're likely to get someone stating that they're totally different online from in person, although I'm sure that there are many who are.

I think that the Internet in general enhances certain characteristics and tends to bring out the best and the worst in people. I don't see myself as any different really.

In person I'm perhaps a little less measured, but that's probably as a result of the necessity of typing, rather than just speaking. I'm perhaps more of an attention whore on here but in general I'm much the same.

According to two verifications I'm not as funny in person.

Online presence I can be more forthright and occassionaly argumentative and (I think) quite confident.

In the real world I'm much less likely to get into an argument or fight my corner.

Quite a few people have said I'm gregarious and confident in person.

That's a mask. I'm really not, I'm deeply shy and incredibly self conscious.

As for me - I'm probably more reserved and shy in real life and as Tea Monkey said not as measured or articulate - I'm not good at thinking on my feet in person and so have a tendency to blurt out the first thing that comes into my head, especially if I'm in an awkward position, which is usually the wrong thing to say.

On here the thinking time a keyboard affords allows me to say things so much better.

I'm also not good in "new" situations where I don't know anybody and as my profile says have to be prised out of my she'll initially - but once I am and I'm comfortable the biggest problem is putting me back in it!!

In terms of personality, beliefs, sense of humour etc though I'm exactly the same.

Going through some changes at the moment. The real me is definetely reserved and a little nervous socially but working on that. Trying to not let the past dictate my future and looking to better myself and improve everyday.

The real me is a work in progress looking for people to be willing to help on the journey.

Think I appear harsher in real life as you can see the whites of my eyes and body language. Ok, well I can forgive you not following the transition from one account to the other. I didn't expect anyone to follow that bizarre turn of events, I hadn't anticipated it myself.

Fact is we clearly jar with one another, regardless of the profile in use. So it's probably best we avoid each other, rather than bicker like children. A kind of small proof we're probably both being ourselves online, as much as we are in person. To return to the OPs point.

Details, names, career and other subtleties are deliberately altered to protect what I do.

I don't know who I am any more. To many years holding on to a bad marriage, ignored, unloved, hated and cheated on has left me with low self asteam,lacking in confidence and with trust issues.

Now divorced and trying to rebuild my own personality, confidence and self worth. Have nice home of my own and a fantastic son got to be a good starting point hopefully.
