I’ve been peri menopausal for a while, mostly I’m doing ok but started suffering night sweats. The doctor recommended sage but they didn’t work so started taking black cohosh that helped. But for a few weeks they’ve started to happen again and are causing me restless nights. Any recommendations, or should I give in and get hrt off the doctor x

I wouldn’t see it as giving in chick....having a chat with a professional has got to be better than suffering through it.

Or taking advise of some ever so unfunny people on the forums xx

There is a whole range of recommendations to try. Some will work for others and some will not. Some will work for a while and then you seem to become immune. I found cutting down on alcohol helped, but in the end the only thing that really helped was hrt.

Yes I think I’ve become immune. And I’ve not been drinking as I was on antibiotics, I did think they didn’t help but have been the same once I stopped them x

Hope you get sorted soon x

Radio 4's Woman's Hour has various podcasts on the subject. Well worth having a listen to.

Are you using 100% natural cotton bedding? Poly/cotton won't help..

No I’m not. And I have a memory foam mattress that I believe doesn’t help x
