Think the criticism the threads had may put people off, so they’re dubious about posting on something accused of being offensive. Or, if like me, they never feel slim enough- that’s not a “please say I am” comment, but the result of being told time and time again I’m too big to be attractive xx

I have no problem with a proper reasoned discussion or debate but I just don't like how it seems perfectly acceptable while trying to appreciate one body type etc another one is put down. I just don't like it.

There's loads of threads that are repeated hourly. Many people enjoy them. I like discussion. Forums are for discussions.

Yes they are for discussions so don't deliberately trying exclude a certain type of people it's not what the forums are about.

People are always going to be excluded from certain threads.

The thread title (ie the ‘not fat’ bit) was unfortunate admittedly - but as per it’s just turned into an argument.

Sad that the only successful/constantly recurring body type appreciation threads on here are invariably for larger ladies!

It would be nice - just occasionally - to have threads in appreciation for other body types that didn’t turn into some kind of battle ground!

And the reason that that particular thread is successful is because yes it appreciates larger ladies but it doesn't put down anybody else.

That one thread was. Like I said before, even respectful, innocuous threads appreciating slim women descend into chaos.

Slim to curvy women he didn't need to add the not fat women bit. Like I said the BBW chat thread doesn't exclude anybody and actually it's not an appreciation thread it's just general chat I think a lot of people miss understand what it's about. Everybody is welcome and everybody is made to feel appreciated and valued. I think the other reason there are more BBW threads is simply because there are more larger women. The average size of a UK woman is a size 16 and I think this is something that people are going to have to start to accept. Like I said I just don't like people being excluded for any reason.

On many, many occasions I’ve seen comments on those threads calling slim women stick insects or bags of bones - and suggestions that ‘real men’ prefer larger/curvy ladies! The comments are endless and have been going on since I came on Fab five years ago - and probably before that!

The sad fact is that for some bizarre reason it’s far more acceptable on here to state a preference for larger ladies than it is to state a preference for any other body type!

And I have been told to leave a thread because I was too fat there is just as much nastiness on both sides and that is what I don't like. And actually it is often challenged on the BBW threads when men say they prefer larger women to stick insects ect. You only have to look at some of the early posts on this thread to see it wasn't about appreciating thiner women it was bashing larger ones. I don't understand where everybody keeps moaning about the daily BBW chat thread it's successful because the people that contribute to it are respectful and actually it's very rarely about weight. I think the problem is how things are worded it's a simple as that.
