Fake Outrage? Double standard!

Anyone notice how it’s accepted as the norm for women to have things like; “Must be 6 foot tall, must have abs, must be VWE, must not be hairy must blah blah blah” and there’s no problem.

But when a guy has “not into overweight women” he becomes the centre of attention for a lot of forum threads here and gets called a pig?

Just an observation

I don't think their outrage is fake. I think they really *are* angry that someone doesn't want to fuck them.

There's a flaw in this highly objective thread.

The women ( according to you ) ask for what they see as positive attributes in a man.

The men ( according to you ) mention negative things they don't want.

An abyss of difference.

I prefer to state what I want - not what I don't want. So instead of "no short men" I put "I prefer men over 6ft".

If my preference then "offends" those outwith what I'm looking for, then honestly, I'd have to search high and low to find a fuck to give!

I'd love it if men were more honest about what their preferences are rather than wanting to meet ' women from 18-99 and it doesn't matter what they look like '

It just goes to show that a lot of men don't care who or what they're fucking.

I'm not offended when I read no fat women on a profile or no black women or whatever their preferences are.

It would be a refreshing change actually.

Just so many threads bashing women and vice versa and it's unnecessary and unhelpful. Here's an idea why don't we stop moaning and just get on and have some fun!

Me neither.

I've seen people slated for the negative, rude way they word things, but everyone is entitled to their preferences.

I suspect that women are (for the most part anyway) generally less blunt about things when voicing opinions in forum threads though, whereas some men could use a better choice of words.

True. I'm too fat to have comfortable sex with a fat man, as I don't fit comfortable over his body, and they generally don't have much fitness or stamina.

The easier option for me is average to slim men, or slightly overweight. Even if I were slim my legs don't open wide enough to accommodate a large man, because of my arthritis and I can't have his body weight on me, because it's painful.

Me and fat men don't fit.

It's normally because of the other comments that are posted on the threads but then become nasty. But I don't understand why there is a need to start a thread like that. I'm not saying it hasn't happened but I haven't seen a woman starting a thread saying I don't like overweight men!

Threads like that are generally put up simply to cause controversy.

I strongly disagree with that!

There are far more threats about how women are rude because they don't reply to messages ect then anything else.

the fact we choose what we read! I am fully aware of that I'm just saying that some of it is unacceptable. I like to think I put my point across without being rude or deliberately inflammatory but if I see an attitude that needs challenging I'm not afraid to challenge it.

There's expressing a preference and sounding like a twat when you express it.

For example:

I like my ladies petite so I can sweep you up in my arms and carry you to my budoir.

No fat birds. I only have a small fridge and can't afford to feed you.

Arguably someone may object to both, however the second comment is fabicide.

Again it's often how it is worded!

I commented on such a thread saying I quite like Slim men and I was told in no uncertain terms... women like me should not be allowed on a thread like this and I should stick to my Merry band of Desperate men!

So again I will say it's all about how things are worded nobody or very few people have a problem with somebody stating a preference it's how it's worded. There will always be people that object to any kind of preference thread and I'm not one of them I just don't like shaming and I also don't like it on BBW threads when men comment saying "I don't like skinny rakes or ironing boards" I think that is completely disrespectful.

So do i it's always very off putting when a guy just has on his profile, up for anything looks and size not important.

The only thing I don't like is when threads are started about it because they always just turn ugly.

Seen plenty of women start BBW appreciation threads.

And there my friend is the difference!

Starting an appreciation thread is positive.

Starting a thread saying I don't like overweight people is not!

I’m glad we are friends now, but you start a slim women appreciation thread and see what happens. You dare me "

That's because everyone knows that, on the whole, slim women are thought to be more attractive. See the hot pics for proof.

Hence no need to make a point saying they're attractive.

But when a guy has “not into overweight women” he becomes the centre of attention for a lot of forum threads here and gets called a pig?

I know I'm going to get told there are BBW appreciation threads and that is the point none of those say that certain body shapes are not welcome absolutely ridiculous that you've done that.

It's completely different. If someone said no small cocks or short men, i could understand. Stating what you want is different to what you don't want. If someone said 'only looking for slim ladies', that's completely different to saying no overweight/fat people.

That's just ridiculous. So because about twice a week there is a thread saying men like larger ladies that is not blowing smoke up anyone's ass. But like I said I read the thread it is not appreciating slimming ladies it is putting down larger ones which is what always happens on those threads.

If that is your preference then fine what I would suggest is that you don't go shouting about it on the forums, put it on your profile and leave it at that.

Unless you are attention seeking.

As has been said on numerous posts just recently double standards abound on and always will but it is your body and your decision who you choose to meet and that is all that needs to matter.

You’ve misunderstood and misconstrued my point completely. My observation is that when men have something like “no fat women” on their profile, it’s considered gross and they are often the butt of criticism. However, when women have the equivocal “no fat men” there’s no problem with it because - rightfully so - it’s their choice. My (implicit) point wasn’t to say women shouldn’t be allowed to say that, rather, it was that men should be treated with the same likeness when they express themselves as such. Nice try though.

"I prefer it when guys state preferences.

So do i it's always very off putting when a guy just has on his profile, up for anything looks and size not important.

The only thing I don't like is when threads are started about it because they always just turn ugly.

Seen plenty of women start BBW appreciation threads.

It's interesting that there aren't as many appreciation threads for slim women.

Those threads pop up sometimes but non-slim women make bitchy comments and ruin them.

"You’ve misunderstood and misconstrued my point completely. "

That's cos women are sensitive and need to be handled with kid gloves, and men are hard.

Now this is just hurtful now. I love cheese, but I have to have dairy free now and it doesn’t satisfy me the same way.and as for cake, stop taunting me! So I demand a thread for the people who love dairy and flour based food but can’t have them- the dreaded gluten intolerant!! (Insert dramatic “dun, dun, dun!) And as for the beefcakes, I can’t eat red meat!! The prejudice here, against bland food eaters is astounding!! xx

I don't agree with having a checklist of how a person body/ height hair colour etc should be, we are all on here for fun you ain't gonna marry the people you meet or have their babies.... As an overweight woman myself can’t say I’ve been outraged seeing such things on a guys profile. I see it as a positive thing my times not been wasted messaging him to find out I’m not what he wants in a woman

I not even offended when I see them express their preferences in a derogatory way “not into skin and bones” or “don’t messaged me if you look like a beached whale” I just think myself “jeez you’re doing yourself not favors mate

But I’m also not a woman that makes demands on her profile mines a FAQs sarcastic puss take on all the questions a majority (not all) of guys seem to ask in a first message
