Now that January (dubbed the most depressing month of the year) is behind us and nature is getting ready for spring it would be lovely to share what makes us all feel joyful, that pure, giddy happiness that is so common in kids but rarely seen on the faces of adults.

Maybe a list of happy things will help out anyone who is struggling to find their happy place and give them some ideas to try?

Opening the garage door and wheeling my Triumph out, riding to the cafe for a fry up before exploring the roads, wind in my face.

Or a message on fab.

That is literally my garden!

I like walking along the shore with a travel mug, a thick scarf and bobble hat

Manchester (she/her)

Dogs, playing on children's park equipment (stuff that can take my weight and there are no kids around). A fabulous friendly fuck.

Finally achieving things you've worked so hard to get to. Pure euphoria.

Lighter nights again making you think of doing more than hiding indoors by a fire.

Dancing and singing just for the hell of it to some great music - proper cheesy arms in the air Kate Bush style.

Feeding the animals in daylight, and out in the fields, not in the gloomy stables. The gorse is starting to flower, and in a few weeks it'll smell like coconut. Then comes birthing season - knock-kneed foals, donkey foals with furry moonboots, calves with pink noses and huge inquisitive eyes - the whole kit and caboodle.

Vapour trails in a blue sky- I can imagine where they might be going on holiday.

And finally feeling a little warmth in the sunshine today x

A passing kind word, greeting or even just a smile from a stranger in public places.

I try to do it whenever I catch someone’s eye line, it always makes me smile if returned.

Occasionally, someone even greets me first!

I love that, you can almost see a look of surprise first before their smile.
