Somewhere In The Ether…

With all this snow recently, it’s nice to think ahead to the new buds of Spring.

So......what is your favourite garden flower everyone?

The Petunia gets my vote

Also, is this thread gay?

I have a beautiful canna rose in my pond. It’s looking a little sad at the moment though, it doesn’t like the cold.

I’m now off to do some thing manly like chopping wood

They also resemble the female genitalia.

Sounds like a theme for another thread ...Does a woman's pussy look like an alien?

ET? exquisitely tasty.

I like the amaryllis plant and have had a few to grow at one go.

There a simple plant with such a loverly large flower on them.

Water when needed and allow to sleep in a dark place, for such a large flower produce.

A world all of his own

I have quite a few (they've gone a bit mental tbh lol) canna lillies in my garden that flower the most beautiful orange flowers It's just a shame they produce no fragrance.

Favourite has to be my yellow rose, wonderful yellow blooms and a beautiful smell

Somewhere In The Ether…

I have recently discovered the trend in black flowers. Black Tulips (Queen Of The Night), black Lupins and black Petunias - the latter which can best be described as looking as though composed of beautiful black velvet.

Absolutely stunning to behold - I’m itching and ready to sow my seed!

Has anyone here ever planted ‘Double Petunias’? They’re absolutely gorgeous

Scent wise, as Randonmess previously mentioned, I’ve never found anything more fragrantly beautiful than a yellow Rose (Arthur Bell variety?)

Honey Suckle is particularly delightful to as is scented Clematis

I love flowers. I don't think I can pick a favourite, but I have flowers in my flat as often as I can afford them. Daffodils are in season which is great because they're so cheap, and so cheerful!

A man posting a thread about flowers? Clearly, yes, that makes this thread gay.... Which probably makes me gay too! OMG!

Alyssum and Lobelia- two more of my favourites also, the former as a border plant and the latter trailing in cascades from hanging baskets.

And let us not forget the humble Pansy - hardy as hell and so cheery looking wherever they are planted
