I've put a few extra wobbly bits on recently and had been thinking about that bikini ready for my holiday in June when a young lad this morning decided to tell me I was "a bigger woman".

So I installed a calorie app on my phone. Been out for brekki with a friend today so more than I'd normally have but it seems my full English, 3 cappuccinos and a millionaire slice has left me with 125 calories left for the rest of the day on my recommended amount!

Surprising how easy it is to consume those pesky calories!

Most gyms havr a PT there. Included in the membership. Yhe hardest part of going to the gym is the actual going. Once you're there you'll enjoy it and when you start losing weight you'll go all the time. Good luck x

I've had the reverse. I've had to stop the gym for a while after loosing too much weight. This isn't a good thing as I think great curves on a woman are the way to go.

When I had to lost 3 stone after retiring from rugby - I substituted sparkling water for beer and joined in at my old club playing touch rugby.

It came off after 7 months.

I'm a different man now.

I can't recommend enough the fun of team sports.

I agree I hated the commerical gyms but as soon as I found weightlifting and strongman I loved it so don't need motivation to go as it doesn't seem like a chore. Find a sport/activity you enjoy and it will make the difference. X

Yeah and the most calories would have come from the cappuccinos and the millionaire slice!

Sugar is your enemy. If you’d had fruit/herbal teas and skipped the dessert you would’ve been better off.

However eating the bulk of your calories in the morning isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Luckily I don't have a full English regularly but the cappuccinos are a daily thing. I've got some green tea, I'll start substituting that x

I gave up sugar a few years ago it's tough to do at first but after a few weeks you start to get used to it and how much better you feel starts to kick in and out weigh the cravings..

This is some help to anyone starting in a gym and not enjoying it I hope it helps! Please read...

I've been to the gym at all different times of the day very early morning , mid morning, lunch, noon, evening and late at night to do my own research on what suits my body and what I prefer in a commerical gym.

If I was new to the gym scene and went for the firt time in the evening/night especially Fri/Saturday night I would be put off by it I've been to a few and assume they are all roughly the same with teens just sat around in them like a youth club weights everywhere and nothing put back and a really uncomfortable atmosphere - During the week it's just really busy, Unless that is your only time you can go just make the best of what you can..

If you can get up and are early riser go at that time I found it's a much more nicer atmosphere the majority of people are more mature & there to work out and there is none of the bravdo and cockiness I've witnessed...
